Thank you once again to everyone who ran a beautiful 2024 New England Friesian keuring!!

I am so incredibly proud of all the horses! First up for the day was IBOP Guusje v/d Bokkefarm owned by Katie Hammond Was super well behaved and happy in her test! She scored an impressive 78.5 and was champion ridden IBOP! Jitske fan Jade Kafka Farms aka Jade owned by Rachel Kate also did a IBOP! This was her first time in the show ring under saddle and she was a perfect lady! I couldn’t be more proud of how well she handled everything and finished with a score of 70 I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this amazing mare!

❤️Next was the youth Visuele Perfectie aka Talon a just turned 2 year old stallion owned by Debbie Kafka Harold Kafka Although being a little reserved in his trot during his inspection he finally showed off his amazing talent in his victory pass as champion of the youth!!!

🤍The mares had a turn in hand. First up was Sille of Swan Lake a 3 year old owned by Heather Brutvan Schneider she was confident and looked amazing scoring 7 for walk and trot becoming a 2e star!!

💙Jade also had her turn and was beautiful! Showing her powerful trot and had nice comments about her beautiful head and neck. She was not upgraded at this inspection.

❤️Guusje went in and showed her beautiful racial type! The judges complemented her big walk and active trot! We were super excited that she was upgraded to a 1e star!!!

🤍Then was mare championship I almost fell over when Sille was awarded reserve champion and Guusje champion!! 🥹

💙Talon, Sille and Guusje all went in the ring one more time for overall Day Champion!!! We would like to congratulate everyone for their amazing horses!! I am so incredibly proud of Goosje for being awarded DAY Champion!! 🥇I’m so incredibly thankful and blessed to have amazing horses and clients in my life!! I love your horses and feel every bit of joy and pride when they get a chance to shine ✨ thank you for trusting me with them from the bottom of my heart..

Last but certainly not least I have to say a BIG thank you to Matt for all of his help getting horses ready and handling!! Also our parents for taking care of Austin so we don’t have to worry 🥰

“I’m not a dressage rider” is a typical sentence that is heard throughout the disciplines. The word “dressage” can strike fear into the hearts of many riders. Typically because it’s seen as a rigid form of rules, that only if you “look” a certain way, with rhinestones on your browband and your Kastel sun shirt and riding with short reins and a noseband — do you fit into the crowd. *Kastel shirts are AMAZING btw 😘*

But “dressage” is so much different than it’s stand alone as a discipline.

It’s a set of theory’s that quiet and soften the muscles and the mind.

It’s a connection that forms communication to influence footfalls to create a sequence of engaged muscle pairs.

It’s strengthening and prolonging a career of soundness.

It’s increasing flexibility and strength of muscles and ligaments and tendons.

It’s applicable to any partnership, any horse, any discipline.

It’s Medicine.
It’s Movement.
It’s Balance.
It’s Therapy.

It’s applicable to you and your horse wherever your discipline choices lie. Regardless of your saddle, bridle, whether you ride in jeans or jodhpurs, whether you have a pasture, or an arena.

Dressage isn’t “picky” on who it helps. It’s inclusive to anyone willing to pursue it.
