Welcome!

I would like to introduce a mother and daughter duo that joined the Fuzzmug team at the beginning of the summer. Leta and her daughter Hannah are amazing humans. They inspire us in the amount of effort they put towards helping animals and they are truly a great addition to the Fuzzmug Family.

We would like to congratulate Leta with officially taking on the roll as our much-needed Pantry DIrector.

We strive to help make sure pets don't go hungry. Every month we deliver pet supplies to some of the most financially strapped pet caregivers and colony feeders that are in need. We help a lot of seniors, people that are homeless, and quite a few people going through chemo.

Our cost include the pallets of food/supples, rent, utilities, and insurance.

It takes donations to make all of this happen. No matter how small the donation, everything helps.

A big thank you to Greater Good Charities for all of the help in obtaining the supplies.

We are almost finished with Fuzzmugs. The floors and walls are all painted. Buckeye Cable installed our internet and we are completing the final touches.

Operationally, we are up and running with the pet food pantry. We have expanded our service area outside of the Point Place community on a case by case basis.

Currently our pantry is helping feed over 100 cats and 16 dogs each month. A large percentage of our pantry recipients are seniors and/or disabled caregivers.

We are currently looking for potential cat fosters to help us have the ability to rescue cats in need from time to time. You can apply at our website. We provide the necessary supplies and cover the veterinary care with our vet. If anyone is not already aware of, we also operate a 501(c)3 nonprofit cat rescue in Michigan called Goat Berry Trails. Sorry, we are currently full.

We appreciate all the donations that we have received to help us open the Fuzzmugs location and provide the necessary services to caregivers.

Have the best day ever!

We are still working on our space and should have our office open soon.

We are currently stocked up on pet food and supplies for our pet food pantry. Anyone in the 43611 zip code that is in need of help. Fill out the application form below and we will get back to you. There is no charge for any food or supplies that we provide. We do ask that our post is shared as we are looking for cash donations to help cover our cost to provide this program.

We are able to provide this program because of Greater Goods Charity and the generous donations from many organizations such as Chewy, Petsmart, Purina, Royal Canin, Merrick, Meow Mix, Hartz, and so many more. We only have to cover shipping cost for the pallets of pet food and supplies that we receive.

We are trying to finish prepping the floors for painting this weekend and we will have updates coming soon on our opening.

We would like to thank Scally-Wag Grooming LLC for their donation this week.

02/22/2024

We would like to thank a few people for their recent donations to Fuzzmugs.

Becky Kolinski and the Point Place Dawg Pound. They are an Official Cleveland Browns Fan Club that raised over $200 with their 50/50 raffles.

Lindsay Curley the owner of the Mayfly Tavern Bar & Grill who raised over $500 with their raffle over the super bowl weekend.

We appreciate the donations from all you and everyone that contributed.

We are getting closer to getting Fuzzmugs open in Point Place.

Sincerely,
Aaron Bailey

This Wednesday, January 31st is the LAST DAY to secure your dog's license without paying the late fee! đź“…https://lucascountydogs.com/licensing-your-dog/

Lucas County residents have the opportunity to get their pit bull/pit bull type dogs spayed/neutered at a reduced price of just $15 through the “Big Fix” program as long as the dog has a current license. Email [email protected] and make sure to mention "Big Fix" to schedule your appointment.

Why is the Lucas County Big Fix program aimed at spaying and neutering “pit bull type” dogs?
Most of the dogs at Lucas County Canine Care & Control are listed as pit bulls or pit bull type dogs. As of today, of the 91 dogs listed as available for adoption, 82 are happy go lucky, sweet, and sometimes slobbery "pit bulls". Pit bull type dogs are one of the most common types of dogs found in shelters across America as well as right here in our county, which unfortunately also makes them the top dog breed to be euthanized.
We are working with county commissioners and Lucas County Canine Care and Control to help reduce the amount of pets (especially pit bull type dogs) in our shelters—therefore reducing the amount of dogs sadly put to sleep.
It's not only the law to license your dog, but it also helps to give them a ride home, as well as a two-week stray hold if taken into the county shelter. Licenses help provide funding for county shelters, and enable dog owners to take advantage of amazing programs like the "Big Fix".

**To schedule, please email your information (full name, address, phone number) and your pet's information (name, age, s*x, breed, weight and color) to: [email protected].

{Please note: we receive a VERY high volume of calls and messages requesting appointments. We are only able to schedule six weeks out. We absolutely want to help everyone and get all the pets spayed/neutered, but we do ask for your patience as we navigate the high volume of requests.}

We want to give a BIG thanks to the "Big Fix".
