Sound advice from Oregon Axolotls!

AC on and chillers running. It’s 7:46am and it’s already 72 outside. Today will be 99 degrees! Please keep your axolotls cool. Freeze primed 1 gallon jugs and rotate them every 6 hours or so can help. Even tubbing with hard ice packs can help. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!

We had an awesome day setting up two Axolotls for their forever homes! My personal favorite Nubs, who we rescued to rehab and is a chonky GFP Leucistic Axolotl, had stolen my heart. He has now been affectionately renamed Deadpool due to his tiny arm, and resides at Family Promise in Lincoln City! Moony who is a young GFP Leucistic has her own huge 55 gallon tank, and is the center of attention on Chrissy's kitchen island! Fun day.

Today we did a water change on all the adults and baby Axolotls. Good opportunity to snap some pictures. Turns out most of our babies will carry the GFP gene but we will also have some leucistics, Golden, Albino, Wild Types, and Melanoids.
