DogworksOhio Dogworks is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization based in Toledo, OH. Our purpose is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome dogs.

All dogs are located in foster homes throughout the hour radius we serve. Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until a

doption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility. We strive to rescue as many dogs as we can, but the need for new fosters and volunteers is crucial to our continuing efforts!

Christmas we thought we would save the best for last and bring you this very special little guy...Sarge.

🎄Sarge was found as a stray wandering the streets in a city in southern Ohio. He ended up at a shelter there and emails were sent out to different rescues for help. We didn't hesitate and brought him right into the rescue. He's been with us a couple months, was missing a ton of hair and just overall in rough shape. His foster brought him back to health skin wise, but he still has a couple issues. He is hearing and vision impaired, and has a grade 3-4 heart murmur...he is not on meds for that at this time. His teeth are bad, but he will not be put under to do a dental at his age.

🎅He is approximately 15 years old and weighs about 8 lbs.

🤶He is potty trained and will whine to go out and bark to come back in. He does get picked up to bring in and out of the house. He loves to wander the perimeter of his fosters home.
Otherwise, he is a sweet little guy with some life left in him! He would love to find a permanent home to live out the rest of his life.

⭐️Buzz comes to us as a puppy mill release along with his siblings, Noelle, Kevin and Holly 😊

🎁He is a male, nine week old heeler mix.

🎄Not a lot is known about his background, but we know he’s a typical playful, silly puppy. We are told he lives up to his namesake from the movie “Home Alone” as he is the instigator at playtime!

🎄Holly is also a puppy mill survivor and is a sibling to Noelle and Kevin. 

🎅she is new to the rescue and we know she is a cute, beautiful puppy!

🐾She is approximately nine weeks old and again is best guessed as a heeler mix.

⭐️She will be ready for adoption once she is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Ghost had his first rehab appointment and this is from Dr. Sam: Ghost has come a long way in the past week! He is healing wonderfully! He is starting to toe touch on his FHO leg which is great. He still has a long way to go and will need more rehab sessions. If you can donate anything will help.

Look who made it out of surgery and is heading to his foster home to recover- our little #Ghost 👻 This guy is a fighter- made it through Kidney failure after his former owner gave him ibuprofen to help with pain from falling from their car. Now his surgery fixed all that is broken.
