We are still collecting blankets for our pigs, anyone who wants to donate blankets to the farm our pigs would be greatly appreciative! We go through a lot of blankets with our pigs every winter. Instead of throwing out your old/used blankets just drop them off by our garage! We just can’t use down comforters as the pigs will make a mess with the feathers lol Thank you!

Don’t forget when you’re done with your Christmas tree and didn’t use tinsel please drop them off at our farm by the garage for our goats, alpacas and sheep! They love the Christmas trees! Please make sure there are no ornament hooks!

It’s that time of year again! If you want to get rid of your natural Christmas Tree you can drop it off to us at the farm next to the garage (closest to the deck) for the animals! They LOVE Christmas trees! Just make sure it has no tinsel or ornament hooks!

I am very sad to have to put this post up about our farm favorite Rosie 🐖… she passed away this afternoon😭💔 We rescued Rosie 5 years ago and she became a farm favorite instantly! She loved her belly rubs and treats (doughnuts). Our hearts are broken today😭 she fell asleep in her favorite spot in the pasture, she looked peaceful. I really thought she was just sleeping, but she was in a much deeper sleep😢 there was nothing we did, nothing we could do, it was just her time. The memories with Rosie will be cherished. The kids, Jason and I loved her so so much as did so many of her fans❤️ I wish she could have lived forever, but unfortunately nothing lives forever and large pigs don’t have a long lifespan😢 I’m glad these past 5 years we got to give her the BEST life! I’m going to miss her morning feeds, walking the fence line with me, having mud baths in the pond, running across the pasture when she knew I had treats, rolling over the second I started rubbing her belly and the list goes on. Let me tell you that Rosie was a celebrity pig! So many people stopped by our pasture just to see her! Our other animals especially mini horse Karma and Iffy the cow are so sad, they slept and napped with Rosie as you’ll see in some of these photos. We love you so much Rosie! Now you’re with the other DC Forever Farm animals that have passed over the years! I promised Rosie that another pig like her will need help some day and I’ll be there saving that pig just like I did with her! That’s exactly what she would want. Love you Rosie girl🐖

Our handsome Onyx who is a Ayam Cemani breed rooster spent 2 nights at Fenton River Veterinary Hospital for a really bad infection in his toes due to a fractured toe that we have no idea how it happened. They would not improve so they had to amputate his foot to stop the infection. The tissues were necrotic. Onyx is now home and doing well. We are hoping he is on the mend and finally fever free 2 days in a row❤️ We are staying positive and hoping he will do well with having his foot amputated. He seems to be getting around pretty good with the dressings. He’s going to be our very friendly, lovable Roo 🐓

It’s that time of the year again! Anyone who wants to give their Christmas Tree to our farm, our goats, sheep and alpacas would LOVE them! They do have to be all natural, no chemicals, no tinsel, no ornament hooks etc…
Feel free to drop them off in our driveway by the garage.

If you’re looking to get rid of your Christmas Tree and they are natural with no tinsel, or ornament hooks on them, please drop them off at my farm. The goats, alpacas and sheep love them! You can leave them next to the basketball hoop in the driveway. Thank you!!
