🚨 TODAY is calling for a weather alert of our first 100° day in Phoenix!!

As we head into our summer months, and with so many families relocating to our beautiful Valley of the Sun, we want to take this moment to remind everyone of the symptoms of HEAT STROKE in our 4-legged family members.

👉DON'T leave your dogs or kids in a parked car! Temperatures rise quickly, even with a window cracked.
👉DON'T take your dogs on hikes! All trailheads are closed to canines once our temps hit 100°
👉DON'T walk your dogs on hot asphalt or pavement without feeling the ground first! If it's too hot for your hand, its too hot for their paws!

With heavy hearts we have decided to put Bunsen (green collar) and Beaker (orange collar) up for adoption. Beaker was brought in by a good samaritan with severe pneumonia at about 6 weeks old. Bunsen was along for the ride. Beaker recovered well and they have been the dynamic duo around the hospital since.

They are now 5 months old, treated for intestinal parasites, fully vaccinated and neutered. All they want is to snuggle with someone and purr all day – and they just don’t get enough of that here. We would like them to go as a pair as they have been so close all their lives.

They do well with other animals and older children as they have been exposed to most situations.

Heart worm is in the air (not really, just the mosquitoes)! We’ve had 4 positive heart worm dogs within a 7 mile radius over the last 2 months. The mosquitoes are out in full force after the recent rains. Make sure your dog is tested, and then protected against this life threatening parasite.

Louie stopped in for his annual exam today! He got tested for heartworm and three different tick borne diseases as part of his check up. As you can see, he seemed to enjoy it!

This is Gunner
Gunner is 22 wks old and a sweet boy.
His current owner unfortunately needs to rehome him and wants to make sure he goes to a loving home.
Things we know:
He has been around kids 7-9 and did well.
He knows sit and is working on walking nicely on a leash.
He is fully potty trained and will let you know when he needs to potty.
Unknown if he gets along with other fur babies. (Will need to be introduced)
Things that will need work:
Has not been crate trained (due to space restrictions at home)
Does tend to chew on things he shouldn't.
Has not fully finished all his vaccines.
