Sometimes we only show the "pretty" and easy parts of moving and making big changes. The last few days, Daniel and I did some pretty big renovations on the old barn to get ready for our move. So proud of Daniel for all the work he did from ripping out an old meat locker frame to building stall walls for the donkeys. My mom also spent hours helping from cleaning to painting the feed and tack room walls. Team effort with some pretty amazing results.

There is nothing more special than the first touches on an untouchable yearling.

Incredibly proud of all the work my client has put in to learn how to communicate with this sweet mare.

From teaching her to be comfortable approaching, teaching her to hook on, helping her learn to keep trying versus running away, teaching her R+ and getting her comfortable with motion going past her eye.... it all combines into amazing tools that make the rest of her training easier.

In one session, she progressed from her first quick touch to a full neck scratch.

There is nothing more special than evaluating a rescue horse to figure out what they know. They can't speak so you have to be willing to listen and experiment to understand how they were taught to speak. Underneath the fear, she does have some cool training. She will be amazing to train.

If you are looking to rescue, I know some amazing fosters looking for their forever homes.

Love simple illustrations
