Heartworm infection is a serious and potentially deadly disease for both dogs and cats, but the good news is itβs preventable! πΎπ Here are a few key points every pet owner should know:
1οΈβ£ Mosquitoes spread heartworms - These parasites are transmitted through mosquito bites, so prevention is crucial, especially in warmer months. 2οΈβ£ Symptoms are often subtle - Infected pets may show no signs until the disease progresses. Regular vet check-ups are essential. 3οΈβ£ Prevention is easier than treatment - Monthly preventatives (pills, chewables, or topical treatments) can keep your pet safe. 4οΈβ£ Heartworms can affect cats too - Although less common, cats are not immune and can experience severe reactions even with just a few worms.
Donβt wait for symptoms to appear β talk to your vet about the best prevention plan for your furry friend! πΆπ± #HeartwormPrevention #PetHealth #FurEverSafe"

Purrl, Dr Banga's cat had teeth cleaning today at Harmony Pet Clinic.
Pyometra surgery!!! Lacy a 9-year-old dog had more drinking off water and vomiting at home. With careful examination and test we found she has pyometra and infection in the uterus. Pyometra is a very serious and deadly disease, which can be prevented easily by spaying your pet in time. Lacy's recovered very well after surgery and it's doing very good at home.
Gordito, the clinic cat was euthanized today. He was a great companion and he was cared for and loved by all the staff members. He has been struggling with chronic kidney failure for the last year and half but recently he developed multiple health problems and we had to let him cross the rainbow bridge. You will be missed Gordito πππβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπΎπΎπΎπΊπΊπΊ

Dental x-rays are very important to know the status of roots of the tooth. What we see outside of the gums is only over 30-40% of the tooth and 60 to 70% is under the gums that we can only see with the x-rays during dental cleaning.
