Some great tips from The Dog Wizard for keeping your pet comfortable during this week’s cold weather!

Brrr! The temperature is dropping, and it’s time to make sure your furry friend stays safe and happy this winter. Here are a few tips from The Dog Wizard Woodlands to keep tails wagging all season long:

1️⃣ Layer Up for Cool Mornings: Short-haired or small dogs might need a light sweater for those early morning walks.

2️⃣ Protect Their Paws: Cold pavement or damp ground can be uncomfortable for dogs. Check their paws after walks for any irritation.

3️⃣ Limit Outdoor Time on Windy Days: Even mild cold can feel harsher with strong winds. Keep an eye on your pup for signs of discomfort like shivering or curling up.

4️⃣ Hydration Matters: Cooler weather doesn’t mean dehydration stops! Make sure your dog has access to fresh water, especially during walks and playtime.

5️⃣ Indoor Fun: Rainy or chilly days are a great excuse to work on training, play tug-of-war, or try a treat puzzle indoors.

6️⃣ Check Their Bedding: Ensure your pup has a warm, cozy spot to rest, especially if their bed is near drafts or cold floors.
