Everyone Meet Duke

Duke is a very sweet boy who was found as a stray. He appears to be a boxer/staffy mix and is estimated to be about 1.5-2 years old. He is very smart, affectionate, and goofy. He loves attention, enjoys a nice comfy spot to lounge around in, and likes playing with his foster sister (although he is also content not playing/doing his own thing). He likes to chew on nylabones and will occasionally chase a ball. Duke is still working on the kinks on learning how to play. He is a medium energy dog who enjoys a walk and play session, but is pretty chill and content in a comfy spot most of the day. Duke likes to be included in whatever you’re doing and is always ready to jump in the car for a ride. So far, his dislikes seem to make for a short list: fireworks, sharing attention (not an issue though), and not being included in whatever’s going on.

Duke is good with other dogs and is being fostered with an older female dog. He has met a cat and did pretty well. A little interested. But nothing worrisome. He is very trainable and would probably do okay with a cat that’s used to dogs. It is unknown how he is with kids, but he is a sweet and tolerant guy so I dont see kids being an issue.

He is neutered, vaccinated, and has received a month of training. He knows sit, shake, down, stay, come, touch, and place. He is crate trained, house trained (no accidents), and is getting better every day on the leash. He learns very quickly! And loves training.

Duke can be a little shy at first, but he is a sucker for sweet talk and opens up pretty easily with affection and treats. He’s a very loyal dog and will make a great best friend for somebody!

Duke is up for adoption. We would prefer someone with a yard. But would be willing to consider and apartment. Other dogs in the home are alright as well as children and cats. Though he would need time to get use to all of them.

He’s had 1 month of training. But would also come with one free private training session.

Today was Little Ms Cleo’s second lesson. She got introduced to walking on the leash and after a mild tantrum when she couldn’t pull and had to walk with me and her mom. She was a perfect little lady. I even seen up a little obstacle course for mom and pup and they nailed it. Her favorite new trick was definitely learning to stand on the box. She understood what I wanted after only 2 tries and would go to the box to relax when she needed a moment. Definitely got an A++ today.

Been having a hard time winning over Ms Penelope. But it’s hard being a crankyhuahua. But then I took her on a car ride and now I’m her best friend lol. Khaleesi was a great help too.

Miss Cleo really set the bare high today. Very first lessons this little baby genius learned sit, down and leave it. She was not a fan of being told no biting. But those big kid teeth need some trying out.

Sweet girl second day of training. Brinley has sit down perfectly and laid down the first time I asked. She’s not sure about having rules. But treats make them easier to work with.

I was so happy to see this handsome boy today. It’s been a few weeks. But Atlas remembered everything and was the best boy. We need to work on that attention span. But when you are this handsome it definitely makes up for it.

Dog Training:

I have several options for training your pup. But the 2 most popular are

Private lessons. Where I come to your home. Or you come to me and we work one on one together with your pup. The first 2 lessons I usually just work with your dog to give them a little jump start. As well as getting g to know their personalities. After that I work with both of you. These are $85 per session

Group classes. I work with you and up to around 6 other families and their dogs. I do require 1 private lesson first just to make sure your pup would be okay in that setting. These are $300 for 6. After you do 6 lessons you can pay $50 per lesson to keep coming or just do touch up now and then if you want.

Your dog won't be fully training after 6 lessons. But they should have a pretty firm grasp on all of it. And I totally understands that a 6 week commitment alone can be hard to keep up with.

Boarding training. But this is more for dogs that need a lot of work. Not just with basic obedience. But more so dogs with dog or people aggression. This is a 2 week session. Your dog will not be fully trained at the end of the 2 weeks. But they will get a good jump start on their training. I recommend following up with a few private lessons or group lessons. So you can learn to work with your dog.

Semi private lessons. Which is more for friends who want to take classes together.

Private lessons: I work one on one with you and your pup

Semi Private: I work with you and one other person with your dogs.

Group classes: I have group classes Every Saturday Morning for Puppies aged 12 weeks to 6 months. And for 7 month olds and up. We work on basic obedience and socialization skills. To help teach you and your dog to work together in public and have

Boarding training: a two week boot camp where your dog gets a firm grasp on basic obedience. After which I highly recommend a few group or private lessons to help you learn to work with your dog.

Hello Everyone

My name is Ashley. I have spent the majority of my life helping people gain control and respect with their pets. When you buy or adopt a dog you are looking to add a life long friend and family member to your home. This can be hard when you are faced with behavior issues. I have one goal and one goal only. Turning your wild child into an honors student.

I focus on everyday issues. Pulling on the leash, Coming when called, Taking things they shouldn’t be. Jumping on people and so on. It doesn’t come easy. It will take time. But the more work outside of lessons you are willing to put in. The more rewards you will see. It’s just as much about teaching your dog how to behave and what is expected. As it is teaching you how to work with you dog to get the best out of him or her.

All Ages and All Sizes are welcome. No dog is to old, to young, or to big or small to learn. I offer a variety of classes. I will also take on aggressive dogs but on a case by case basis.

Private: One on One with you and your pup.

Semi Private: I work with you and one other family. This option can be great for friends who want to take class together.

Group: 3 to 8 families working together. Your dogs get to socialize with new people and dogs. As well as learning the basics like sit, down, and Heel.

All dogs joining a group class must take 1 private lesson first to make sure they will be comfortable in a group setting. This is not only for their safety and yours. But also for the others in the class.

I also offer a 2 week boarding boot camp. Your pup will come stay with me in my house with mypack. They work for 2 weeks on basic obedience and social skill. I take them to dog friendly stores where they meet new people and animals. As well as learning to behave in public. On the last day I will bring them back to your house and you will have a private one on one lesson to go over everything we learned. I will also send updates while they are with me.

All dogs taking classes of any kind must show proof of vaccines.
