Una piccola vita 🦇 salvata per un soffio!

Ieri sera una Nottola di Leisleri, uno dei nostri meravigliosi pipistrelli, ha vissuto un brutto incidente: cercando rifugio dal freddo, si era nascosta nella canna fumaria di un camino. Quando i proprietari hanno acceso il fuoco, la piccola è precipitata sulle braci… ma per fortuna è stata subito salvata e affidata alle nostre cure 💔🔥

Ha riportato ustioni a un’ala, ma ora è al sicuro e stiamo facendo tutto il possibile per aiutarla a riprendersi 🩺

Con l’arrivo dei primi freddi, camini e canne fumarie diventano trappole inconsapevoli per tanti pipistrelli in cerca di un riparo.
💡 Prima di accendere il camino, date sempre un’occhiata o fate controllare la canna fumaria. Un piccolo gesto che può salvare una vita ❤️

Se trovate un pipistrello in difficoltà, non toccatelo e contattateci subito: sapremo come intervenire in sicurezza.

Thank you California for banning cat declawing. As an animal communicator and empath I can tell you how incredibly painful this is to cats. If humans felt this level of pain they would be on narcotics and under disability for the rest of their lives!!!

Good news for companion animals! AB 867 has been signed into law in California, banning cat declawing across the state.

Thank you to Assemblymember Alex Lee for sponsoring this important legislation and protecting animals!

"Nationally, veterinarians overwhelmingly oppose cat declawing, with the majority supporting a prohibition on cat declawing when it is not medically necessary. California now joins a growing number of cities and states to outlaw this practice... Globally, dozens of countries including Australia, New Zealand, the U.K. and Switzerland have all banned cat declawing.

Declawing involves amputating cats’ toe bones or severing the tendon controlling their paws, a surgical procedure that can lead to debilitating health effects. Surgical complications include hemorrhage, infection, pain, and anesthetic complications. Removing cats’ claws also increases the likelihood of behaviors like biting, aggression, and litter box avoidance. Overgrooming, chronic back pain, residual bone fragments and mobility issues are among other long-term effects of declawing." -- Office of Assemblymember Alex Lee

A woman in Arizona was caught on video abandoning her dog with a cruel “bye-bye.” She now faces animal cruelty charges, and the pup is safe in a shelter.
