All adopters must be 24 years of age and over. All applicants must fill out an application. All applicants must have a Veterinarian reference, If they have never owned a pet before, they must provide a friend or relative with a Veterinarian reference and they will be given 7-10 days after adoption, to establish a relationship with a vet. All family members including spouse, friend, significant other and children must be in agreement to adopt and attend the meet and greet. Adoption Fee is acceptable in cash, check, PayPal. NO credit/ debit cards
S.A.V.E. has the right to reclaim an animal if the adopter falsified any information on their application. S.A.V.E reserves the right to follow up on the progress of the adoption. If for any reason you are unable to keep this animal S.A.V.E. requests the animal be returned to them. SAVE reserves the right to refuse any adoption.
*ADOPTION FEES*
Include the following:
Vaccinations, FIV/FELV Testing, & worming (cats)
All Vaccinations, HW Testing, Worming (dogs)
If age appropriate will be spayed (cats & dogs)
Kittens up to 6 months $100.00
All cats over 6 months up to 5 years $75.00
Cats over 5 years $50.00 (Cannot be combined with Senior Discount.) Puppies up to and including 6 m of age $375
Dogs 7 m up to and including 5 y $350
Dog 6 y and over $250 (Can not be combined with Senior Discount)
Military discount $25
**Please Note:
Pets from out of state require Health Certificates from a Veterinarian required by the Dept. of Agriculture and by the transporters we use to travel out of state. There is a $20 per pet cost for this. There are also Veterinarian fees, quarantine fees, and transport. These charges exceed most pets adoption fees.

….and then there was one! Looks like Abby is the last of her litter. This litter of 4 were found by a Good Samaritan huddling near a garbage dumpster, with no Mom in sight. All of them are so so sweet. Abby’s siblings will be adopted this weekend, leaving her by herself. So we need you to share this post far and wide so she can find her Furever home too! Abby is 3.5 months old and needs to go to another home with another friendly fur baby in the home. Did you know you can see some of our cats and kittens at Petsmart in Brick, NJ?? Yes, that's right! We frequently rotate them from our Rt 9 shelter to Petsmart. These cats and kittens pictured are there right now. If you are interested in meeting or adopting one or more of them, please fill out an application at Save.rescuegroups.org. We are also looking for volunteer cleaners/socializers at this location.

Meet Mary Jane! Her owner fell ill and could no longer take care of her. She came in all matted and was in a long of pain, because those mats were so tight to her skin. A wonderful groomer shaved her back end to make her so much more comfortable. Mary Jane is 6 years young and such a love bug! 2024 may not have always been easy, but together we rose above the challenges! We took in a lot of animals with illnesses and showed them love and care. Although we faced some tough losses, we chose to focus on the lives we transformed! We welcomed a LOT of adorable kittens into our family and the love just keeps on coming! Our amazing team of volunteers at Rt 9, Petsmart in Brick, and our Thrift Shop on Fischer Blvd. are the real heroes, making a real difference in the lives of animals! We're grateful for our followers and supporters who always step up to help. Our incredible Santa Claus will be back next year, spreading joy and cheer! Thank you to everyone who attended our events and showed their support. Thank you for being part of our village! IT TAKES A VILLAGE! (We still need volunteers, so please donate your time and help us keep making a difference!)

Meet Dotty! Dotty and her sisters were found outside as kittens. Dotty is quite shy and startles easily, but that doesn’t make her unadoptable. Dotty is a very sweet, petite girl. She would do best in a quiet home and with another cat at home. Dotty has two sisters that are still waiting for their Furever home. Dotty is 8 months old and can be seen at Petsmart in Brick. Mary Jane is an owner surrender. Her owner fell sick and could no longer care for her, so a family member brought her to us. She was with a single person her whole life. Being uprooted from that has left her super scared and confused. She was so matted that our veterinarian had to cut/shave some parts. She is beautiful and her long hair will grow back soon! Now that she is feeling better, she has become the biggest lovebug! She loves to be pet and loves to rub you. She's been brought up to date on vaccinations, and is ready to meet her forever family! Lady: Hi! I came from an overcrowded local shelter. After 6 years with my family they decided to move and I could not go with them. Well, their loss. Everyone here at SAVE Rescue tells me Im a beautiful,happy Dutch Shepherd. I am only 35 lb(they tell me I need to gain a few more pounds) I am Full of energy and want to play,fetch,tug o war,whatever you want. I definately would like a very active family to go hiking, or to the beach with. I would love to play ball with you in our fenced yard. I can be your new best girlfriend,lets give it a go! SHARE..SHARE…SHARE….Not one application for Lady!! And we can't figure out why?? This girl is a great dog! She is a volunteer favorite. Everyone loves her here! Lady is 6 years young! SAVE Adoption Process and Fees:

All applicants must prove ownership of home or be at a rental for at least 2 years. Your rental/lease must show you are allowed pets or you must provide a letter and phone contact of your landlord. It is at S.A.V.E.'s discretion to conduct a home visit.
If you adopt a pet from us that is too young to spay/neuter and you are required to do so by a certain date, you must show proof it was done by that time. Adoption papers enable owner to use State Spay Program (we will provide a list of participating Vets) for $20.00+ Rabies $15.

Military, Law Enforcement or EMTs receive $25 Discount on dogs 7 months or older only
**As of May 1,2019**SAVE Rescue will have to raise our adoption prices for Puppies & Dogs due to rising costs with transport,vet fees. Adoption fees will be $375 for puppies under 6 months. Dogs over 7 months will be $325.
