Meet Maddy once again. We are inspired by the potential for love in this charming girl. Maddy's demeanor is exceptionally endearing. She will come and greet you warmly and lean against you, anticipating affectionate pets. As a six-year-old kitty, Maddy would be fine with another mellow cat or as an only cat. Maddy is a transfer from an overcrowded local shelter, and she has been here a really long time. If you are interested in this purrfect girl, please submit an adoption application at Save.rescuegroups.org. By sharing this post, you will help Maddy find her forever home.

Yo, I'm Pips, and I'm here to steal the show, obviously! I'm 3 months old, and I've already mastered the art of being ridiculously cute. My siblings and I were chillin' down south, but Save Rescue came and saved the day! Now I'm just kickin' it, playin' with toys, and makin' BFFs with all the other pups. I'm like a social butterfly, but, you know, furrier. I'm ready to find my forever home, and I promise not to eat all the shoes. I'll be medium-sized when I grow up, but for now, I'm just a little ball of fluff! Want to meet me? Hit up Save.rescuegroups.org and fill out an app!

Meet Mac and Scotty! Unfortunately they were relinquished to us due to a severe allergy in the family. Let’s not bad mouth and concentrate on finding a new home for these brothers. They are not bonded and can be adopted separately. These guys were quite scared when they first arrived, but as time passed they are getting to know our volunteers and we are getting to know them. Scotty is the outgoing one, and has blossomed in our free roaming room. Mac is sweet but still a little on the shy side. He does like to be pet if you approach quietly. Mac and Scotty are almost 9 years old so they would like a quiet home. If you are interested in meeting or adopting one or both of these beautiful boys, please fill out an application at save.rescuegroups.org. Please share this post so Mac and Scotty can find their Furever home. Thank you!

A letter from an adopter, turned volunteer…
This might get long:Since April of 2023 we adopted 4 cats from SAVE and I have been volunteering there since Oct of 2023. Luna and Poppa (we lost Poppa to cancer in December),Missy now Willow and most recently Dotty now Millie.
Luna and Poppa were in the rescue for over a year and over looked because they would not come out of hiding. For whatever reason Luna chose us by coming out to play. We took her home that day leaving behind her friend Poppa. Feeling so guilty I went back 3 weeks later and brought poppa home.
Willow was also labeled shy and had a birth defect and was missing a back foot. Most likely shecwoud be a long term resident at the rescue as She too was shy but again came out for us.
Dotty (Millie) I fell in love with while volunteering at PetSmart with SAVE. She was super shy and skittish but once she let you pet her was so sweet. She went back to RT 9 where my son and I went to look at a different cat, and again she was so shy but we were petting her. A week later I fostered her to see how she would do in our house and within a week we adopted her.
I realize this is the alumni page so we all have adopted. But I’m putting this out there to anyone who is looking for another pet or knows someone who is looking…
Give the shy ones, the ones hiding or the sad ones who lose hope a chance! What you will get in return if you are patient with them is so much love and joy. I’m so happy we rescued the quiet shy ones! ♥️♥️♥️

LISTEN to these kittens that were recently transported from a local overcrowded shelter. Mouse, Casey, and Checkers. They are so affectionate that it’s almost impossible to get a pictures of them, so we took a video to show you that they constantly purr!
Meet MaryJane
Meet Mary Jane! Her owner fell ill and could no longer take care of her. She came in all matted and was in a long of pain, because those mats were so tight to her skin. A wonderful groomer shaved her back end to make her so much more comfortable. Mary Jane is 6 years young and such a love bug! If you would like to meet or adopt Mary Jane, please fill out an application at Save.rescuegroups.org.
2024 may not have always been easy, but together we rose above the challenges! We took in a lot of animals with illnesses and showed them love and care. Although we faced some tough losses, we chose to focus on the lives we transformed! We welcomed a LOT of adorable kittens into our family and the love just keeps on coming! Our amazing team of volunteers at Rt 9, Petsmart in Brick, and our Thrift Shop on Fischer Blvd. are the real heroes, making a real difference in the lives of animals! We're grateful for our followers and supporters who always step up to help. Our incredible Santa Claus will be back next year, spreading joy and cheer! Thank you to everyone who attended our events and showed their support. Thank you for being part of our village! IT TAKES A VILLAGE! (We still need volunteers, so please donate your time and help us keep making a difference!)
