**Why Adopt, Not Shop? 🐾**

As a proud pet sitter and lifelong animal lover here in New Jersey, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible joy and companionship that pets bring to our lives. However, too many animals are waiting in shelters for their forever homes.

Did you know that in the U.S., over **3 million dogs** enter shelters every year? While many find loving homes, thousands still face uncertain futures.

When you adopt, you’re saving a life and giving a second chance to a loyal, loving friend. Shelter pets come in all shapes, sizes, and personalities, so you're sure to find one that fits your family perfectly.

If you’re considering adding a furry family member, I encourage you to visit a local shelter or rescue organization. Let’s make a difference, one adoption at a time!

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month. While there are loads of pets that need to be adopted, why do senior pets get their own month?

Senior pets are commonly overlooked in shelters, yet, they can make wonderful and loving companions, especially if you’re looking for a calmer pet. Often, senior pets are also past frustrating behaviors that commonly occur during puppy- and kittenhood, like excessive chewing.
