C.F Penn Hamburgers opened it’s doors in 1927. Known for their iconic “slug burger”.
The name might seem a little odd now but back then a nickel was often referred to as a “slug”. That’s how much the original burger sold for, five cents.

It has been said that even the king of rock and roll himself, Elvis Presley was a fan of Penn's burgers. Elvis would often send a driver to pick up a bagful.

With several locations changes over their 96 years you can now find C.F Penn at 214 6th Avenue SE, Decatur.
