Check this thing out!!! So unique and growing fast. I'll have a few of these available soon. Here is the best part. You can either plant them in the ground or a pot. They come back every year and as the bush gets bigger you can break up the rhizome and start other bushes. And it will bloom as well. The second pic is what the bush will look like.

Update on this guy. He is growing fast and is locking to several of my girls. He will be a proven breeder a few times over in 2025.

I know im.late to the party on this one. I've been thinking about what I wanted to say and decided to just let it flow. Dingo has passed due to a green mamba bite. I won't go any deeper into that part if it given I don't have all the information. I will however say he brought an energy that was only matched by the late Steve Irwin and Brian barczyk (rest in peace). He was one of the greatest people in our way of life. He dedicated his life to educating people about all animals. He will be missed.

I think I'm on the right track when it comes to heating the greenhouse. Let me explain what the issue is. I put it on a platform that's 8 x 10 ft. This may not have been the best decision given it's designed to sit on the ground. But doing so has given it a stability that I would not have gotten otherwise. Now here is the problem I'm running into . The platform allows for wind to blow under the greenhouse. This makes the floor cold. This is my solution (in test phase soon) I have a roll of that foam insulation that is designed for floors, on the way. Over that I'll be laying a heated under rug mat (also on the way). If this shows promise but proves to not be enough I'll lay a piece of black plastic under the whole thing and that should work. Last night it got down in the low 30s here and according to my sencor push the interior stayed at 70. But I would love to achieve high 70s to low 80s inside.

My lotus are sprouting!!! I'm so excited about these. They are going to be beautiful. I'll have some available in the spring for sure. This first batch is just a test run.

So Sunday is my normal snake cleaning day. Well this week it got all messed up. With the greenhouse coming in Saturday I had to do rats Sunday so the snakes got put on the back burner with the intent of doing them Monday. Well Monday rolled around and the gods had different plans and I got hit with a 13 hour day. Tuesday was also crammed. I managed to get a rack and a half done yesterday and a rack and a half done today. Out of the 3 racks, half had shed. That's a rack and a half that needed tubs cleaned, sanitized, fresh water put in clean dishes and new substrate. So ugg. Tub after tub with s**t and shed in them. But I love this way of life and would not give it up for anything.

I have to say. This greenhouse is proving to be a challenge to figure out. It definitely gets hot inside. Sencor push reached 110 degrees yesterday. But 99% of the plants are showing no sign of temperature stress. I'm now experimenting with shade cloth. Today I'm trying a 40%. Let's see how it goes. Humidity is challenging as well but I have a few ideas how to resolve that. Stay tuned.

On 9/11/24 this beautiful lady was sitting a 18.5 mm. I noticed a couple of days ago her colors have changed a bit. Could this be that glow before they go I keep hearing everyone talk about? I'll break out the ultrasound soon and we will find out.
