We are under contract on our home. I know some people have been curious, and the new owners are not wanting to run a kennel here.
Our official closing date for Camp Canine Kennel is 8/29/2024.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m making this post. We’ve made the difficult decision to close Camp Canine Kennel. I’ll be boarding dogs through the summer, and then we’ll put our place on the market. With increased expenses and taxes I’m working extremely hard for a much smaller profit. After 19 wonderful years I’m ready to have a little time for me and my family. I want to thank all of my amazing clients! You’ve entrusted me with your precious family members, and I’ve always done my best to care for them with love and kindness. I have made sweet friendships over the years, and I cherish the memories of you & your furry family members. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ♥️🐾

Our sweet foster puppy is towards the end of her healing, and is starting her search for her forever home. We’re completely smitten with this sweet puppy! She’s so smart and is going to be an amazing dog. 🥰🐾

We aren’t completely filled up for this summer, but we are pretty close.

At this time we’re going to hold off on adding any new clients through the end of the year.

If you have a vacation planned for this summer, and you’ve boarded with us before, please let us know what dates you’re needing. We have started a cancellation list for a few of our full weekends including over the 4th of July.

Update 4/16 - This little Nugget is scheduled for surgery to repair her leg this Thursday or Friday. Then 8 weeks of recovery. Poor baby!!

Update 3/29 - For now she’s on a hold. We’ve found she has an issue with her leg, and needs to have some diagnostics done to see what can be done to help her.

It’s been a tough few weeks for our Camp Canine families. Sweet Buddy’s family had to say goodbye to him yesterday. He was definitely a gentle giant. I had the honor of watching him for his family when they traveled. He was here staying with me not too long ago, and knowing he was getting older I made sure I got extra hugs and love in. Buddy was truly a special boy, and I know how much his family will miss him. Buddy you did your job well, and you’ll be missed! Love you boy! 💔🐾

We received the sad news that sweet River passed on. She was not only a neighbor of ours for many years, but we spent some fun time with her staying in the kennel when her owners traveled. She was smart, sweet, and so very loved by her people!
River you made a big impact in your life, and you’ll be missed by many. Love you girl. 💔🐾

We received the sad news yesterday that sweet Charlie passed away. He was 16 years old and lived a long full life. We were so grateful to be his caretaker when his family traveled. Charlie was a lovable, kind guy. He loved to come out to the country for his own little vacations. Charlie was a lucky boy to have had such an amazing family, and I know they’ll be missing his sweet face for a long time. We’ll miss you too buddy! Thanks for making my job so fun, and for always being such a sweet boy. 💔🐾

When we say we offer specialized care, here’s an example. Little Charlie is getting up there in age. He needs medications 3 times a day, and his little back legs just aren’t as strong anymore. Solution, a shorter bed to get up and down from, and a carpet remnant to help him have the best traction on the floor. We do our best to make sure each dog is comfortable and safe while they stay at Camp Canine. 🥰🐾

Introducing PAISLEY 🌼♥️🐾

Heads up fabulous followers. We have this adorable Beagle/Bully? mix at our house for a safe place to land while she searches for her forever home. As of now we know she’s around 41lbs, 2.5 years old, spayed and vaccinated, good with other dogs & cats, walks well on a leash, and knows sit. Potty trained, quiet in her kennel, LOVES balls. Once we get to know her better we’ll add more information.
