This is only the 3rd lesson on “Place”. Today we practiced going to “Place” from a distance. The distances varied between the puppies, but everyone got it figured out. We also introduced the cue word “Place”. Be proud of your pups!

The puppies were introduced to Body Handling, today. We sent home a hand-out sheet that will help you work on these simple exercises at your house. Remember to keep the lessons relaxed, short and fun! Your vet and/or groomer will thank you later. ❤️🐾

Exploring the concept of “Place”. The lesson learned was that food rewards only came when puppy was in the correct “place”.

Today we introduced the puppies to the concept of “Place”. We will eventually shape a consistent behavior, link it to a verbal cue and like magic, the puppies will have acquired a very important skill.

If you’ve ever had to cook, clean, answer the door or have a conversation with a demanding puppy underfoot , you’ll appreciate being able to send your pup to her “Place”.

Now don’t get in a hurry. Your puppy has a ways to go yet. We’re taking it slow and consistent in these first few lessons.
