Halloween can be a fun but scary time for many pets. Large amounts of people coming and going from houses can cause stress in some pets. It's also worth keeping in mind not all pets enjoy dressing up, and not all costumes are safe for pets, even if they are marketed to them. If taking your dog trick or treating with you, please make sure to keep a tight grip on their leash. If not, double check your fences to make sure your pup doesn't decide to go get some extra treats tonight. It also is worth noting that Halloween candy is not safe for pets to eat and should be kept out of their reach. If your pet does eat candy, even if it's not chocolate, it is recommended to seek veterinary assistance, as this can cause dangerous spikes in blood sugar.
