Due to the inclement weather conditions, we will be closing at 12:00 PM EST today, Wednesday, February 2nd. Chewbacca came to us from some acquaintances and didn’t have the best of lives. He is living his best life now! He just turned 6 and is a wonderful member of the family. We love our Boxer!

Bear was in today too but she wanted nothing to do with the clinic paparazzi. We wanted to see the pretty pink ribbon in her hair. Even her person could not get her to pose for us. She is a lovely girl, perhaps just a bit shy.

SEEING DOUBLE! Two dogs from two entirely different areas and families were in for appointments today 15 minutes apart; they look as though they could be brothers. Diesel in on the left and Harley is pictured right. Their names even sort of match. Both are handsome and so friendly!

A names.org user from Bangladesh says the name Tato is of Arabic origin and means "all right." That seems appropriate for the American Bully pup born with a cleft lip/palate.

My human mom, Mary, made a movie of me. Can you believe it! I must be really special! (Tato is the American Bully pup born with a cleft lip and palate).

Hello, my name is Tato (short for potato because that is what I looked like when I came out of my mom). There was also something wrong with my lip and inside of my mouth when I was born. They said it is something that happens to purebreds and squished-faced dogs like me. My original family could not provide me the specialized care that I needed to survive. That is when my new human mom stepped in. She asked my original owners if she could try raising me. They said YES, and I am so thankful to them for that. Now, my new human mom, her husband, her children, and her mom all help me. I am very grateful that my previous owners gave me a chance and let Mary take me home. Thank you to everyone who commented about me and offered encouragement; it means a lot to me and my new family.

P.S. My new mom, Mary, said that she feels blessed that my original owners let her have me. I guess that means that she loves me a lot.
