Mountain Veterinary Services is extremely excited to announce that we recently purchased Aid Animal Hospital in Topeka. We will continue to offer our great pick up and delivery services for surgeries.

At Mountain Vet you’ll experience the same great services plus X-ray, in-house lab for blood, urine, f***l analysis, and more. We sell Science Diet, along with a variety of flea, tick, and heartworm medication.

Our new address is 2408 SW 6th Ave. Hours are M-F , 8AM -5:30PM. Please call 785-233-7664 to schedule an appointment or surgery today.

It's with great pleasure and pride we are so happy to introduce Dr Katherine Mountain.

Through a bit of fate and luck Dr Post and Dr Mountain have merged practices.

Dr Mountain has an excellent reputation. They have been operating a successful and highly regarded practice for well over a decade, with pick up and delivery of pets.

Dr. and Mr Mountain are a team much as though Dr Post and his late wife were.

Family operated means attention to detail and your satisfaction as well great communication and accessibility.

We are thrilled to get back to full service for our valued clients and patients.

It's been a long difficult haul thru Covid, Dr Post's wife death, Dr Mah's death from Covid and staffing nightmares .

To all my loyal customers and clients for over 50 years I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your patronage and loyalty for many decade's.

You all were like family for 4 generations.

It has become apparent the previous 19 months to most recently that the staffing situations and current business climate has made it very challenging for me to continue.

Our efforts to obtain another associate veterinarian for two years have been futile.

With the loss of my wife Helen and due to my age regrettably I'm retiring.

Many thanks to ALL my loyal staff for decades.

We will cease outpatient services on or about 15th December 2021. This is not the outcome we had wished for but unfortunately the reality that is here and now.

We will provide staffing for records transfers and Rx's for many weeks afterwich.
