A rescue and rehabilitation organization that seeks to build lasting relationships between people and animals and educate society in the care and ethical treatment of the four-leggeds. First and foremost we rescue shelter animals. We rehabilitate with TLC and find foster homes and trainers to aid in the process. Secondly, we provide a place for humans to come and help the animals and build relatio

nships with them in order to help and heal each other from life's misfortunes and traumas. And last but not least, we adopt pets into responsible loving forever homes with training and education for all! Why the lotus as our symbol? Because the lotus flower stands for cause and effect and the awareness that it is simultaneous. When a cause is made, good or bad, it is a given that there will be an effect. The universe and "Powers that be" in it, always delivers in some form. The effect begins at the very instant one makes the cause just as the Lotus Flower seeds and blooms at the very same time! As with all of life's trials, beauty and compassion is often created from the depths of pain and suffering. Again, like with the Lotus Flower.... "The Lotus is a flower that grows in the mud. General information

Lotus Rescue and Rehab is a small independent rescue which functions more as a rehabilitative sanctuary at this point, as it has done since it was created, for animals in need who might otherwise be put to death when treatment is available and a willing foster or rescue is all that is missing to ready someone for adoption. Although we do not have a non-profit status with the IRS, no one profits from donations here except the animals. No suggestion whatsoever of tax exemption for your contributions of either money or supplies is intended. Funding comes primarily from the founder and family and friends. Your volunteer assistance and contributions are always appreciated. Fosters can expect to be reimbursed for any vetting that is authorized by the founder of Lotus Rescue as long as the foster complies in full with any foster contracts and agreements. Theft of animals or false reports and unauthorized vet care of Lotus animals by fosters and others associated in any way with us will be prosecuted.
