About me :
After completing my course at the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School, I apprenticed under Victor Frisco fulltime throughout Lexington and Louisville Kentucky. Learning many different importances of suitably shoeing a horse. From learning how to direct glue, glue on sigafoos, many different pads , ring bone shoes, ext. I have seen a lot of different shoe jobs for different lameness and adequate use of hoof testers. Along with properly applying different shoes to get the full proper function of the equine limb.
Adding to my experience I was exposed to many different breeds of horses along with distinct confirmation throughout all of those breeds. A tremendous amount of the knowledge I gained was from equines with poor conformation. Unfortunately confirmation can not be changed, however, learning how to read the confirmation and how to positively manipulate the function of the equine limb through many shoeing techniques will allow the equine to be comfortable and sound while competing in their event, going for trail rides, or accomplishing their job.
I fell in love with horseshoeing because you can never stop learning. There are endless amounts of different ways of shoeing, making shoes, and fixing issues when it comes to the equine hoof. Furthermore expanding your education up the equine limb and even to the diet of equines, how the environment affects an equine and the quality of their hoofs, and different shoeings for different sport horses and many disciplines. Your knowledge will go as far as you take it. I will always have an open mind when learning. Someone can teach you something new every day and there is an endless amount of new technology that further expands the knowledge of an Equine and the hoof.
