Meet Athena! She’s a 1 year old, 22lbs. Dalmatian – Fox terrier, cutie! She’s spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines.

She loves other dogs, cats and is great with kids. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows all her basic commands and a very good listener. She loves to go running and hiking.

She can live in a city or suburb environment, though she is not thrilled with the cold or rain— so this little princess needs her jacket or raincoat.

She enjoys car rides, and loves to play with her plush toys and bones. Loud noises do not seem to phase her at all.

She is very food/treat motivated and that’s definitely one way to her heart! Lol

She is quite shy initially, and unfortunately an Owner Surrender. But if you have it in your heart to take the time and love her, I am sure she will make a wonderful little cuddle bug!

Kiara is a two year old cattle dog mix. She originally came as a puppy, but was returned because the other dog in the house started to resource guard and a trainer was not called into assist. As a result, she has developed her own resource guarding with other dogs with food, which we are working on to recondition her. She has been doing very well. She loves people, but can be leary of some men and will try and hide behind one of us. She does warm up very quickly to men if given a treat or a tennis ball. She is very food and play oriented. We would recommend older kids maybe 10 to 12 and up. She loves to play fetch in the yard, and loves her bones and treats. She is a very good listener and knows basic commands. She enjoys car rides, she is house trained, crate trained, and great on leash.

She tends to act like a little princess, which is what we all say to her all the time, lol. Her little face will definitely make you smile and she responds well to commands. Please give this pup a chance, she’s had a rough go of it so far and all she wants to do is please her owner and be loved and cuddled.

To my future owner,

My name is Boone and I am a two year old neutered Asian shepherd mix. I have been living with my family since I was a little puppy. I love them so much, but sometimes I get very protective over my human children with their friends. This makes my Mom and Dad nervous, and they have decided to re-home me. I am going to be super sad without them and I am a really good dog and wish I could stay.

I am completely house-trained so I don’t need to be in a crate. I am pretty lazy and I love being a couch potato and going to bed early. My favorite place is the beach and going on car rides. I will make a great hiking buddy and love playing with other dogs.

I get scared of loud noises like thunder and fireworks, and that crazy vacuum creature. I am a little bit of a baby when it comes to going out in the rain and taking baths, so not so thrilled about water.

Please give me a chance and I’m sure you’ll love me as much as I will love you.

“Beau” Husky mix

It’s time to meet Boudain and take him home! How can you resist this face? He is a rescue dog from Kentucky. He’s a very happy 4 1/2 year old pup. Well, he is about 75 pounds. He’s a pleasure to walk on a leash. He loves everybody, especially kids of all ages and has to say hello to everyone. He’s very sociable. They call him the “kissing bandit“. He even sleeps with a cat in his current home. He’s a bit of a couch potato. Unfortunately, it is a very sad situation, and he is being surrendered due to a move and a job change.

He is housebroken, crate, trained, neutered, heartworm, negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. He knows his basic commands and enjoys playing with bigger dogs. He’s definitely not fond of any little dogs. He loves his chewy bones and toys, and is excellent on car rides.

If you give him a chance, I am sure you’ll fall in love with this cuddle bug!

I’d like to introduce you to Lucy, a 15 month old 30lb. rescue pup that is currently living in New York with her Mom and Dad, her doggie sister and three human siblings. This has been a very heart-breaking decision, but they have done so much training and have been unconditionally loving her. She is no longer getting along with pretty much everyone except her Mom and Dad. She is also resource guarding them and food with her sister so they must be fed separately. As unfortunate as this situation is, they must rehome her because of the children and the other dog in the house. She will need a professional trainer or behaviorist that is experienced with dog aggression and resource guarding. A sanctuary is also another option if anyone can help. She’s going to take some work, but the right person, I’m sure will fall in love with her. A quiet home without little children and any other animals is the environment she needs and she will thrive.

She loves car rides, sunbathing and playing with tennis balls in the yard. She does not like getting groomed and putting her harness on, though she walks well on a leash. She’s a little princess when it comes to rain and snow—not very fond of the bad weather. And she is scared and will bark at loud noises like trucks or motorcycles, but believe it or not, is fine with fireworks or thunder. She is also scared of loud people and loud toys.

Please help us help this family and this adorable little pup that may be going through the terrible twos a little early.

We wish she could talk and tell us how to help her but unfortunately something must have traumatized her when she was a very little puppy. 🐾
