To my future owner,

My name is Boone and I am a two year old neutered Asian shepherd mix. I have been living with my family since I was a little puppy. I love them so much, but sometimes I get very protective over my human children with their friends. This makes my Mom and Dad nervous, and they have decided to re-home me. I am going to be super sad without them and I am a really good dog and wish I could stay.

I am completely house-trained so I don’t need to be in a crate. I am pretty lazy and I love being a couch potato and going to bed early. My favorite place is the beach and going on car rides. I will make a great hiking buddy and love playing with other dogs.

I get scared of loud noises like thunder and fireworks, and that crazy vacuum creature. I am a little bit of a baby when it comes to going out in the rain and taking baths, so not so thrilled about water.

Please give me a chance and I’m sure you’ll love me as much as I will love you.

“Beau” Husky mix

It’s time to meet Boudain and take him home! How can you resist this face? He is a rescue dog from Kentucky. He’s a very happy 4 1/2 year old pup. Well, he is about 75 pounds. He’s a pleasure to walk on a leash. He loves everybody, especially kids of all ages and has to say hello to everyone. He’s very sociable. They call him the “kissing bandit“. He even sleeps with a cat in his current home. He’s a bit of a couch potato. Unfortunately, it is a very sad situation, and he is being surrendered due to a move and a job change.

He is housebroken, crate, trained, neutered, heartworm, negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. He knows his basic commands and enjoys playing with bigger dogs. He’s definitely not fond of any little dogs. He loves his chewy bones and toys, and is excellent on car rides.

If you give him a chance, I am sure you’ll fall in love with this cuddle bug!

I’d like to introduce you to Lucy, a 15 month old 30lb. rescue pup that is currently living in New York with her Mom and Dad, her doggie sister and three human siblings. This has been a very heart-breaking decision, but they have done so much training and have been unconditionally loving her. She is no longer getting along with pretty much everyone except her Mom and Dad. She is also resource guarding them and food with her sister so they must be fed separately. As unfortunate as this situation is, they must rehome her because of the children and the other dog in the house. She will need a professional trainer or behaviorist that is experienced with dog aggression and resource guarding. A sanctuary is also another option if anyone can help. She’s going to take some work, but the right person, I’m sure will fall in love with her. A quiet home without little children and any other animals is the environment she needs and she will thrive.

She loves car rides, sunbathing and playing with tennis balls in the yard. She does not like getting groomed and putting her harness on, though she walks well on a leash. She’s a little princess when it comes to rain and snow—not very fond of the bad weather. And she is scared and will bark at loud noises like trucks or motorcycles, but believe it or not, is fine with fireworks or thunder. She is also scared of loud people and loud toys.

Please help us help this family and this adorable little pup that may be going through the terrible twos a little early.

We wish she could talk and tell us how to help her but unfortunately something must have traumatized her when she was a very little puppy. 🐾

URGENT FOSTER/ ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP!!

They are being surrendered due to a change in their Mommy’s and Daddy’s home and work schedules. They are in desperate need of a new home and have been very spoiled. FTLOL needs someone to open their hearts and their homes at the beginning of this holiday season. Kiara is being surrendered to us tomorrow since she got into a scuffle with the other dog in the house over a toy. Kiara just had her stitches removed and cannot be placed in a kennel where there is the possibility of reopening a wound. We ask that the foster has no other animals that way Kiara can settle and heal as peacefully as possible. Kiara is great with all people and loves snuggles. She’s 1.5 years old and 30lbs. There are millions of homeless animals in the U.S. Many have been given away by there own families, dumped from all they know and love. Others have been on the streets since they were babies. And more with crazy almost hard to believe stories. Everyday we rescue animals in hopes to find them a place to call home forever. Without help though, it’s impossible.

Meet Benji, he’s a 1 year old Pure Long Haired Chihuahua! Benji is being surrendered to us because he’s petrified of his family’s lab. Benji is fine with other dogs but he’s petrified of them. We won’t put him in a house with other dogs because he won’t be happy. Benji LOVES cats! Benji absolutely loves the cats in his current home, although he doesn’t need a house with cats we highly recommend it! Benji is a super super sweet boy who just wants love! Everyone meet Bug! He’s a 3 year old Pug mix who just wants some love! He was surrendered because they weren’t allowed to keep him in their apartment. Bug was born with a broken tail, but its just something that makes him him! Bug came to us unaltered so if he gets a home before then it will be foster to adopt until he gets neutered. Aneel Update:
We know that everybody has been worried about Aneel and waiting for an update. We apologize for the delay and thank everyone for there kind messages, prayers, and generosity. Our hearts are beyond broken. We decided to transfer him yesterday as soon as he was stable. We weren’t happy with the care he was getting at that vet and felt our regular vet had a better quality of care. Unfortunately Aneel went into cardiac arrest 7 minutes before we were transferring him to our vet yesterday evening. They called and we directed them to do CPR and then directed them to repeat CPR several times. Their attempts of bringing him back were unsuccessful. Believe us this will not be the last time hear of Aneel’s journey. He came to the rescue in Kabul with a mangled leg and will to live but that’s all he needed. He came to us on July 9th, 2021 and was part of the first transport we got in our new facility. His hair was all matted from traveling but he let us brush it out bit by bit with no problem. He was the most grateful rescue dog I personally have ever met. He ate anything you gave him, walked so nicely, never barked, never had an accident in his kennel, and never did anything wrong. He lit up every room he walked into and never failed to put a smile on my face. We hadn’t given an update till now because no one here at FTLOL could write this post with out breaking down in tears. His foster mom facetimed us all and we got to say a final goodbye but this isn’t the end of his story. We are so appreciative of every donation that was given, we know he touched so many hearts even if it was through the screen. Every dog is perfect, but Aneel was such a special boy. He deserved so much more than this, may you rest in peace our beautiful boy. We will be getting autopsy done to find the true cause of this and will keep everyone apprised.

we attached a video of Aneel on his last day at his foster home where he was happy. Even if it was only a few weeks, we know he was so grateful for his foster mom and brother.

UPDATE: We have raised $2,575 tonight! We still have a nice amount we need help with but we made a payment for $2,500 just now so he can be stabilized there tonight. The total left to raise is $14,517 from the bills so far but he’s still hospitalized so the total will most likely increase! Thank you everyone for your generosity so far, everyone at FTLOL is so grateful for everyone that has donated, shared, and prayed to help Aneel! Everyone keep sharing please so we get to our goal! URGENT!! WE NEED EVERYONES HELP!!!
The Animal Hospital is threatening to throw Aneel out of the hospital tonight unless we can get money to them! Please give whatever you can so we can get Aneel the continued medical attention he needs. He is in ICU after having a tumor and his spleen removed. He was released too early and is back in the ICU. He is from Afghanistan and a war victim with only 3 legs! That couldn't stop him, but the ability to get funds may. Aneel deserves to be home romping with his foster brother Skippy. Please give to For the Love of Luna so we can get Aneel home!

Aneel was rushed to the nearest emergency vet by his amazing foster, who has already donated generously towards Aneel’s vet bill. We will do everything necessary to save our boy. But we need your help! They haven’t made a diagnosis yet and they are currently trying to stabilize him. Unfortunately there is a large bill that is only going to grow from here. The bill right now is almost $12,000-$18,000. We will do everything in our power to make sure we give our boy his best shot but we need the means to do so! Aneel hasn’t had it easy, he came to us from Afghanistan, after having his leg amputated from severe injury. He is one of the 3 Afghanistan pups we have still from the original 7.
