For all our followers, I have become quite the investigative expert on scammers. You don’t have to get a puppy from me but if you ever question a breeder or site you are interested in, I am always here to help investigate it for you.
Just yesterday I almost fell victim to a scammer. We are purchasing cattle and farm animals for our farm. I am buying a mini highland cow for my daughters. The person seemed legit but the price was a little too good. I got that feeling but they never asked for money, offered me to come see the cows and said all the right things that wouldn’t raise a red flag. I was going to pay deposit when I asked if we could FaceTime or he could send me a video of the cow today. That was when I had him. He sent me a video that he stole from a website. I noticed the tag on the cows ear said Bougie Cattle company. Looked up that company. It was in California. This guy was in Indiana. He claimed he bought the cow from them. He said cow was 3 months old. Well pictures on site are dated and it was well over 3 months old.
So why are you selling a cow you just bought?? Hmmm. I found phone number of the owner of Bougie Cattle Company and called him. He sent me a video of the cow with its new family and he sold the cow for $40,000. Not for $2000 like this guy wanted.
If it makes you stop and say hmmmm, run away fast. Don’t send money. I had an owner from the Harry Potter litter tell me he lost $3000 to a scammer. These people are stealing pics and videos and very convincing.
Beware and I will always look into sites for purchase and adoption if needed
