We are still waiting for Tiramisu to go into heat. Mother Nature is taking her own sweet time this year. I am keeping a list of those who want to reserve a puppy from this litter so make sure you message me that you are interested.
This may be our last litter while we are in CT. We are moving to WV in the summer. We bought a property with over 25 acres of beautiful land. Our dogs will be in heaven!!!! We will still be available for puppies. We will bring them back to New England for delivery but we will just have to do FaceTime visits before delivery. My plan is to eventually start a rescue to rehabilitate and find homes for Bassets who need a home.

UPDATE: He was adopted by the most amazing family. He is now the older brother to one of our puppies from the Peanuts litter!!! Our families are the best!!!!

There is a Basset hound that was just put in a rescue in CT. They said he just turned 1 yrs old but they would not offer me any info if he was one of ours. I didn’t recognize him but still not sure.

Just wanted to remind all our owners that we will always take our dogs back no matter what the reason is. We will find them a great home.

Well….big sigh….someone has reported my pictures to people in charge here. They have flagged and removed pics saying they are inappropriate and tried to have my page removed. So I am not sure if I will be suspended.

I am an ethical breeder who works so hard to provide owners with the best Basset Hounds possible. I take pride in the fact that my owners are a part of my family and they have helped me build a great reputation as a high quality breeder. Our puppies and our dogs are everything to us. I am here to educate and promote Basset Hound ownership. I often refer people to other breeders that I know are reputable, just to help people discover this amazing breed. I am open, honest and completely transparent with my business.

So, I take it very personally when someone is trying to affect my business. If anyone ever has an issue with anything on my page, please message me and I will discuss it with you.

I think the dogs had a meeting this morning and decided today we will all have attitudes.
Cannoli still has not touched her food and gives me the side eye every time I look at her.
Benelli decided he wanted to go with the kids to the bus stop and ran out the door. He got his feelings hurt so he waited until I opened the basement door and he pushed a 84lb bag of dog food down the stairs which also took out the huge box of dog bones. And stood at top of stairs looking at me with not one ounce of regret!
Luigi is tormenting Bri’s bird by barking at the cage.
Nutella is giving me the same look my teenager gives me.
Tiramisu is howling in the backyard non stop at the neighbor blowing leaves!

Maybe I should announce it’s nail clipping time and see what they do! lol

It’s time for litter updates!!!!

Post your babies playing in the leaves!
Our dogs LOVE fall. All the smells with the leaves 🍁🍁. They love when we scoop all the leaves into a big pile and they run into the pile. They are getting their exercise chasing the squirrels as we have a ton of acorns this year. I love how they believe they can catch those crazy squirrels 🐿️🐿️🐿️. I swear those squirrels sit in the tree and laugh at them!

Last night we got home very late from volleyball so I let the dogs stay out of their crates. They all decided to sleep in Bri’s room. She wakes me up around 3 am and said it sounds like a snore fest in my room. 5 snoring Bassets can make quite a racket!

Potty training advice!!

A few people have reached out because they are having accidents in the house after being outside. The problem is they are not completely emptying their bladder. I use the term “sniff sniff p*e”. Walk them around the yard or if you have a fence, leave them out for at least 10 minutes. They will sniff and p*e multiple times. Especially now with all the leaves and new smells.
