I have seen this circulating around, and I can’t recall if I’ve ever shared it, so here it is.

Your pet’s emotional & mental well-being is one of my biggest priorities when it comes to my services (and even prior to that when working in the veterinary world). Yes, what I do currently is incredibly convenient for you, and majority of pets handle it with no issue. However, there are some pets that I come across who have an overwhelming fear of the procedures, and I professionally draw the line for everyone’s safety and mental load. There is NEVER a good enough reason to force a procedure, because it only worsens and escalates the pet’s fear for the next time.

Naturally, whenever medication is mentioned or suggested by any pet professional, including myself, an owner may see this as a failure and may be immediately dismissive to try it. I can only ask you that if you have the ability to calm your pet’s nerves and fears for a procedure, why wouldn’t you? If we can allow the pet to have a pleasant experience when on a calming protocol, we can essentially rebuild their trust and feelings towards our handling and procedures.

I realize not everyone is going to be happy with my services and that is okay.
