❄️ Limit Outdoor Time: Shorten walks and keep pets inside during extreme cold. If it’s too cold for you, it’s probably too cold for them!

🧥 Bundle Up: Short-haired pets or small breeds may need a cozy sweater or jacket for extra warmth.

🧊 Watch for Ice and Salt: Protect paws from ice, snow, and salt with pet-safe booties or by wiping their paws after outings.

It is with a heavy heart we must announce the passing of retired K-9 Bak. Just shy of his 14th birthday K-9 Bak peacefully passed away surrounded by friends and family. He served the community with the Blount County Sheriff's Office as a dual purpose K-9. When he wasn't tracking bad guys or sniffing out drugs, he could be found doing demos for the public and posing for pictures (secretly his favorite things to do!)

K-9 Bak, thank you for you service to our community! we will never forget you!
