📣 Ellicott City MD - Tiny Fabi is home!
Veronica reached out to LARG after seeing this little one running in her neighborhood. A couple of other neighbors saw her too, over a period of several days.
Connie & her daughter Honor had put food out once & the dog had eaten it, but no consistent eating pattern was seen. Denise brought a trap out today for Connie’s yard; we secured it open at first, the dog hadn’t been there in over 24 hours.
Well, once the liquid smoke was sprayed around & Denise left, it only took the pup 10 minutes to come trotting up to eat. After she finished & left, Honor refreshed the chicken & set the trap live. Pretty soon she was back—got her!
We called Animal Control — while speaking with the officer, a help request came in to LARG from Edwin, & we knew who the pup was. Fabi had run from her brand new nearby home 5 days ago. She was so scared & trying to survive on her own in a completely unfamiliar area.
Of course we reviewed our best practices for keeping Fabi safe. It’s not uncommon for a scared dog in a new situation to RUN at the first chance.
Thanks to a dedicated community of animal lovers!
