🎇 Almost that time again! If your pet is fearful of fireworks PLEASE consider asking your vet about anxiolytics for the 4th of July celebration. So many of us live in neighborhoods where the display starts the week before and extends through the week after the 4th, it's difficult to think about the anxiety level some animals experience for that length of time! We hope everyone has a FUN-TASTIC and SAFE 4th! 🎆
Run your stockings on over!
❄ Ruxton Animal Hospital is CLOSING today (Wednesday) due to inclement weather. Please seek emergent veterinary care through Pet ER in Towson, Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Catonsville, or Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air. We will open at 8 AM on Thursday! Be safe and warm! ❄
😻 Little Leo was returned to us through no fault of his own (his potential feline brother starting protesting Leo's arrival by urinating around the house) and is seeking a new adopter! As you can see, he's TONS of fun and oh-so-sweet! Please call 410-296-0890 if you'd like to meet the little man! 😻
❤🐾 Sweet, playful, snuggly Sidney is STILL in need of home or foster! Please share! Dog selective and suitable for older children only (she is too enthusiastic for little tykes). Contact [email protected]! 🐾❤
🎉 Happy Friday night! Party like a puppy with peanut butter (but safely)! 😁
***Ruxton Animal Hospital will DELAY OPENING & MAY CLOSE due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. We will post an update at 10:00 AM. If you have an appointment scheduled with us today, we will call to re-schedule should we elect to close.***
😺 Smokey and (the) Bandit are in need of a permanent home! They've started coming out of their shells with their long-term foster, but will still require a patient owner who understands that they might not always enjoy or seek out handling/affection. If you want more information about these special boys, feel free to message, call, or email us! 😺
🌨 Ruxton Animal Hospital will be CLOSING at 4:00 PM today due to deteriorating road conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience, stay tuned to our page for further updates! Stay safe! 🌨
Meet Ray (aka Sweet Baby Ray). Though his gait may be difficult to watch he is NOT painful, he has cerebellar hypoplasia. Because his stray momma was infected with a virus while she was pregnant, his 'balance center' did not fully form. He will always be wobbly, but his appetite is great and he is a playful little boy. As long as his pending lab results come back normal, he is destined for a happy life! To learn more, visit the link below!

We hope everyone is having a fantastic feline Friday! Charlie sure thinks the accommodations in place for his wellness visit are fabulous!! Handsome boy is too busy rolling in catnip to realize he's getting an examination and vaccinations. ♡
Happy Saturday all!!! Find a reason to dance today like adorable little Zoe here!!
Happy Saturday folks! We hope you're as content today as Peach here! She's enjoying her peanut butter reward for being an awesome puppy patient. Enjoy the warmth today, spring is finally upon us!
And for a little more Thursday fun, here's Nyles learning to play ball! ♡
☆Nyles update! Sorry to all of his fans for slacking on Nyles News lately! This is his FIRST outing after his bandage was removed today. His skin graft is doing wonderfully and we don't expect him to need any more bandaging! Clearly he enjoys having full use of all four limbs. We are very much in love with this special boy...his medical journey isn't over yet, next stop ophthalmologist!☆
♡Nyles Update♡ The big handsome boy had a chance to stretch his legs today! He gets stronger by the day, but doesn't have much in the way of endurance. Many thanks to trainer Amie Glasgow for providing her yard as a neutral territory for introductions/temperament testing!
☆ Nyles is feeling frisky today! So wonderful to see him bouncing. Among his many medications are joint supplements in both oral and injectable form, in hopes they help the big guy get back to full function as quickly as possible! Many thanks and much love to those who have expressed both emotional and financial support for Nyles, he is a lovely soul and so very worthy of our efforts. ☆
Nyles had his first walk outside this morning...yes, he walked on his own today! His fever has resolved but leg is still swollen and other problem areas are receiving diagnostics. Baby steps! He thanks you for the overwhelming support and warm wishes, as do we at Ruxton Animal Hospital!
Happy Caturday AND HaPpY NeW YeAr! We hope you indulge as much as Harley here but do so safely! Much love to all of our family & followers, looking forward to spending 2017 with you!
We hope your Monday has provided as much satisfaction to you as has Sivvi's peanut butter Kong to her! No more "scary" vet visits for this canine kiddo, she's a superstar!!! ☆
