We wanted to share this on your feed and save you guys dental trips for your dogs!
Giving your dog regular tennis balls is bad for their teeth.
Tennis balls are like sandpaper on your dogs teeth, causing them to be shaved down like these pictures.
If their teeth get shaved down enough it could cause pulp exposure, which is painful for them.
An easy transition or substitution is rubber balls!!

We frequently get the question, How young should I start getting dentals on my pet? 🦷
We typically recommend starting dentals as young as 2-3 years of age, as this is when tartar starts to build up on the teeth.
However, if you have a breed prone to bad teeth, we recommend starting as young as 1 year. Shout out to the Yorkies and chihuahuas!😉🫣
This x ray is from a 8 year old chihuahua, and this was his first dental.🙃
He ended up having almost full mouth extraction. . . Yikes!
Coming in sooner will only better your pets health, and prevent the need for extractions! 🫶🏼
