Meet Alyssa ~

Alyssa was raised in Belton, SC. She studied Pre-Veterinary Biology at Clemson University. After spending time in Emergency Veterinary Medicine at a hospital in Gainesville, GA, she recently moved back to South Carolina to return to General Practice Medicine with trAH. In her free time, she hangs out with her fiancé, her cat Apollo, and her black Labrador, Benelli. She also likes to spend time in the mountains, paint, and hang out with her friends.

We are blessed to have Alyssa’s expertise in emergency care with her special interest in urgent veterinary services 🩵

This is Nori!

Nori was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and needed to be treated with steroids. Unfortunately, the steroids caused her to gain weight. At her heaviest, she was 17lbs! Nori’s owner knew this wasn’t good, especially because Nori has severe arthritis and overweight cats are predisposed to diabetes.

Through some trial and error, Nori’s owner was able to wean Nori off of steroids and manage her IBD with special diets. With these changes, Nori now weighs 13.2lbs!

Sometimes our pets struggle with obesity due to underlying diseases or medications - this can make weight loss so challenging! If you find yourself in this situation with your pet, let us know. We are here to help :)

Meet Sam ~

Samantha Brown or Sam (what she prefers to be called) joined our team in August of 2024, but has been working in the Veterinary field for many years. Prior to her occupation at trAH, Sam worked in Emergency Vet Medicine and taught at Tri-County Technical College in the Vet Tech program. Sam received her degree in Animal Science and LVT licenses in 2015.
When Sam is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, animals, and the outdoors. Sam is married with three kids, one girl and two boys. She has three dogs and three cats. Sam enjoys fishing, car shows, outdoor adventures, and DIY-ing.

Sam brings many years of experience in urgent veterinary care and had been an incredible blessing to her coworkers and pet patients. We appreciate her kindness, compassion and amazing skills ~
