We don't know about you, but we sure are ready for sweater weather! Summer has seemed to be both never ending and over in a blink simultaneously. We hope you all are doing well!

We are happy to announce that Heather is opening availability for a LIMITED amount of new, SMALL breed fuzzy clients! Spaces do fill quickly and we can't guarantee an opening, so if you or someone you know is looking, let us know as soon as possible!

Due to spacing and weight restrictions, we do have a few factors that will determine if we are able to accept your pup:

*Small breeds ONLY (Adult size 15 lbs or less )
*No previous grooming experience required if under 6 months of age. If 6 months or older, the pup must have had previous grooming experiences in a salon environment.

If you'd like to schedule, send us a text and we will reach out to schedule. Again, spaces are very limited, so we will do our best to accommodate as many pups as possible!

To all our amazing clients!

First of all, thank you everyone for being so patient with us as we adjusted to the craziness this winter and spring. We have worked tirelessly to do the best we can to transition the salon from 3 groomers to 2. It hasn't been easy. When Candy quit, it was with very little notice and a lot of confusion as the messages she sent some of her clients did not explain clearly what was going on. Heather and I sincerely apologize on her behalf for the poor handling of all of that.

Secondly, Candy has inquired to us about coming back part time. We want you all to know that we have declined her request. To be honest, we have had some issues and concerns with her handling of pups for quite a while now. It was also an extremely difficult transition due to how she decided to tell everyone she was quitting and it made our job extremely hard for the last few months. We have also had to cut our clientele down drastically to a number we can manage on our own. We have increased our productivity to accommodate clients and do not have the space to work around a 3rd person.

We have heard that she is saying some not so nice things about us around Facebook and we apologize for her drama. We would just like to do our job and do it well. We have heard that she is grooming small dogs out of her house in Kingsley. We do not judge and hold no animosity for anyone wishing to follow her. We simply no longer wish to bring negative vibes into our lives or our salon. Our furry clients seem so much happier with their time spent in our salon now than they were with her there and we do not believe that is a coincidence. She is simply no longer a good fit for us and we are moving on. Anyone wishing to track her down is more than welcome to reach out and we will point you in her direction.

This has always been our salon, our baby, our dream. We've shared it with others along the way but in the beginning and in the end, it's always belonged to us. We appreciate all of you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking this journey with us.

Brandey is going to be out of town next week so our hours will be shorter, but Heather will be working full days wed, thurs and friday while she is gone. Brandey will also be gone for 10 days in June. After the 4th of July, things should start quieting down some as we settle into summer hours and appts should be much easier to get. Thank you again for bearing with us as we make this transition. We love you all ❀️

Heather and Brandey

EDIT: It has been brought to our attention that Candy is telling everyone that we are accusing her of mistreatment of pets in her care. At no time have we ever said that. We have never accused her of abusive behavior towards pets. Again, we apologize on her behalf for all the headaches and drama being brought. Please reach out if you would like means of reaching Candy for future grooming appointments and we will be happy to pass that along for you.

Prayers for the pup and for the family of the owner πŸ™

We have a special request tonight ... for your prayers and best wishes.

This poor baby girl (just 7 months old) was found after having been trapped in a house with her deceased owner for two weeks. During that time, she had no care, and when she was transferred to us she was so weak she was unable to walk. She was immediately taken to Bay Area Pet Hospital, Traverse City Michigan, where she has spent the last two nights. She is still with us, but holding on by a thread, so we ask for your prayers, best wishes, good vibes, and positive feelings that this poor baby will continue to survive and eventually thrive.

If you would like to go a step further, we always appreciate donations made directly to Bay Area on our account ... multi-night stays for extremely ill dogs don't come cheap. But, really, just pray for her and hold your pets tight tonight.

Update: For anyone who wants to donate but is having trouble with making payments over the phone or doesn't want to go through Bay Area, you can also send a check to PO Box 1953, Traverse City, MI, 49685 or go through our PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=L4Y9HYFSXCKCW

Thank you all so much for your support!

Just as a reminder to our clients that construction begins very soon along west bay and traffic is getting detoured down 8th street. It is going to be very busy so please allow extra time to get to and from appointments. Also, please be cautious when walking up to the door as we have been seeing a rise in people cutting down our driveway to avoid the Woodmere/8th stoplight.

Hello Doggie Stylez Family! Brandey speaking with an update on my little girl. I know many of you have been following us on our journey since her accident a few weeks ago. Today she saw the Orthopedic doctor. Her pelvic fractures are slightly displaced, probably from moving more. It isn't enough to be a concern though so that's good.

The bad news is that she is still non weight bearing for now. We have to go back in 2 weeks to recheck her progress. Her father and I are tossing around ideas on how to proceed. I do intend on working Wednesday this week. I believe I will be coming back part time for now. I do apologize for all the moved and missed appointments. I appreciate how patient everyone has been with us during this stressful time.

Thank you and much love to you all β™₯️

Hey everyone! This is Brandey. I just wanted to give everyone an update on my sweet little girl. Addilyn is doing great! She is being released today into mom and dad's care. She will need 24 hour supervision and is completely non weight bearing for now but we are hoping to start working her back up to walking in the middle of August. We feel truly blessed that this accident didn't end so much worse and thank everyone for the prayers and support they are showering on us. It is a miracle that she should make a full recovery.

Thank you for all your patience and understanding through this. I'm hoping to stop in for a bit tomorrow to reach out to everyone and figure out what to do with appointments until I can get back to work.

Love you all and miss all of my awesome clients!

This is not the kind of news that we want to come to everyone with. We have informed some of Brandey's clients that she will be taking some time off due to a medical emergency. She has given permission for us to share what has happened because she does not know how long she will be off work.

On the evening of Friday July 28th, one of our owners Brandey was on a camping trip with her friends and family when a truck on the campsite went to park and backed over her 4 year old daughter. Addilyn was rushed to the hospital and thankfully was stable enough not to need to be sent to DeVos.

She has 2 fractures in her pelvis, bruised ribs and a grade 5 lacerated liver. Addilyn is still in the hospital but is making amazing progress. She does have a long road to recovery though and will need a lot of care when she gets home. We will try to keep you all informed of her progress but the doctors are optimistic that she will make a full recovery in the end. ❀️

We've had some people inquiring so thought we would share that Brandey's cousin did start a go fund me page to help cover expenses and to help her parents take some time off with their baby girl. Both parents are self employed so that makes things a little more difficult. Please send thoughts and prayers to Miss Addilyn as she heals and her family navigates this difficult time.

Love to you all,

Good morning! We hope everyone had a wonderful safe Christmas and New Years. We have been so busy trying to get everyone on the schedule and we appreciate your patience in the sometimes long wait for an available appointment.

That being said, we have been noticing an increase in clients showing up late for appointment drop offs and pick ups. We are trying to accommodate as many clients as possible. We know how frustrating it can be to call or text for an appointment only to be told that the soonest is 6 weeks or even 8 weeks out. We utilize every moment possible to groom our furry friends and even 5 minutes can make or break our day. Therefore we are going to unfortunately have to be firm on enforcing our policies on late arrivals. Any clients arriving late for their scheduled appointment time will have to be rescheduled to the next available appointment. If we have the time and capabilities to do so, we will offer to do a haircut without a bath if feasible in the remaining time left in the appointment. It is not fair to the next client to lose time they are paying us for, or for us to do sloppy work because we are rushed for time. We do our appointments back to back to keep the dogs from having to be at the salon all day and we love providing that service but in order for that to work we have to have clients arrive on time.

If you're going to be more than 5 minutes late and do not call or text to let us know, we also will be adding an express fee on. We value your time as much as we do our own. We will be on time as long as our clients are on time.

If you require early drop offs or late pick ups, please try to let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment so we can ensure kennel space is available for your pup and accommodations can be made if possible. If you can not be here by your scheduled pick up time we can arrange a later pick up time for you but after hours pick ups that do not have prior approval will be subject to a boarding fee.

While this may seem harsh, it has become a more frequent occurance at the salon and needed to be addressed.

We hope everyone understands. We love our clients and look forward to seeing all of you in 2023!

- Heather, Brandey and Candy

Hello Doggie Stylez friends and family! The CDC and the health department have an ever evolving list of guidelines and mandates through the Covid 19 pandemic. We wanted to update everyone about policies and procedures.

We strongly encourage curbside drop offs and pick ups. Not only do we enjoy coming outside periodically during the day, but we are finding that the pups are so used to it now that they get extremely excited when someone walks into the salon which can make grooming them difficult and unsafe. That being said, if you feel the need to come in the salon, please do not come in until your scheduled appointment time to keep the amount of time you are in the building to a minimum. Also we know it is hard but please try not to talk to or disturb the pups on the grooming tables ❀ for their safety and ours.

We want everyone to stay safe and healthy. We want to remain open to serve our clients. When we get sick or we take home illness to our children who then have to stay home from school, we are forced to reschedule appointments. We hate doing that to our clients! So, we ask that any clients who are not fully vaccinated, boosted or immune to Covid due to having been positive in the last 90 days wear a mask if entering our establishment. We also ask anyone with any sign of illness or who has been around anyone ill wear a mask if entering our establishment.

We hope that everyone understands the precautions we are taking to keep ourselves, our families and our clients safe and healthy. Being healthy means we can be there to serve your grooming needs.

Thank you to all and stay safe and healthy!

Welcome to the world Miss Eliana Grace Bagley! Baby girl made her debut at 10:29 pm on 2/15/22. It was quite the journey and had some challenges but she is doing great! She weighed 6 lbs and 4 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. Perfectly on track for her 37 week self. She is a world class snuggler and has the cutest little coos. We are in love ❀️

Hello!

It has been quite a while since we posted on here! We wanted to update you all about what we have been up to. The last 2 years and adjusting to a world with covid and mandates has been challenging! We have been so busy and trying to accommodate everyone. Last summer we made the difficult decision to stop accepting new clients to be able to handle the client's we ready had. We also reverted back to curbside service as a precaution to protect our families, clients and to remain healthy and open for service.

Here we are in 2022! We are currently accepting some new clients again, but have limited space for the next 2 months as Heather will be off work on maternity leave. We are so excited for her! We also strongly encourage everyone to pre-book their appointments if possible as we move towards spring. We are currently still booking a month in advance and spaces are limited. Texting our phone is the best way to get ahold of us 231-715-8526.

We will try to keep everyone updated as we move forward and apologize for our absence on social media!

We love you all!

Hello family!

We wanted to touch on a few things with all of you. We are staying extremely busy this fall and the holidays are unlikely to slow down so plan and book early!

Also, the governor and MDHHS have placed restrictions on some businesses but so far grooming salons have not been affected by them. We are continuing to do curbside drop offs and pick ups only to minimize the number of people in the salon and the time it takes to disinfect the waiting room between clients. As the weather gets cooler, please free to let us know when you arrive and we will come out to you. There is no need to get out of the vehicles. Also, for quick pick ups, feel free to stop at the door.

Thank you to everyone for being so supportive and patient through these changing times. We love and appreciate all of you! Happy Thanksgiving 😊!!!

Love,

Brandey, Heather and Candy

Thank you to all our clients for being so patient as we have worked to get everyone in. We are continuing to do curbside drop offs and pick ups. Please let us know via text or a call when you arrive and we will meet you outside. We are trying to get as many clients in as possible and utilize every free moment we have during the day. With that in mind, arriving early or late for an appointment can be very difficult to accommodate. If you need to drop off early or pick up late please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Also keep in mind we are strictly enforcing rules regarding late arrivals for appointments. We have delegated an appropriate amount of time to your furry family member and every moment we start late takes away from that allotted time.

We are so thankful for our clients and to be back in the salon helping to make all the pups comfortable in this hot weather. We ask that everyone tries to be patient. We are still booking 2 to 3 weeks out. Keep that in mind when booking future appointments.

Thank you to everyone for all your generosity and support through these difficult times!!

We love you all!

Brandey, Heather and Candy.

We got the good news we have ALL been waiting for!! We will be opening up officially on Friday 5/29! We are so excited to see you all! Please take note there will be changes regarding pick up and drop offs! We will be operating solely curbside for the foreseeable future. This time will be a learning curve for us all and make take some adjusting as we go along!

EDIT: Due to the way it was worded in a news article, it appeared that we were good to open sooner. However, after examining the Governor’s order, it appears the date is still set for 5/29. The great news is that there will not be another extension and we will be opening for certain at that time.

See you soon!

Hello friends! Hope you all are staying safe and sane through these times! We’ve had a few questions regarding the Governor’s executive order lifting the restrictions on select businesses. Unfortunately, as we are not a restaurant/ bar or retail, the original order does still apply to us. So therefore, we are still planning to reopen after 5/28. If anything does change regarding the date we will notify you immediately!

We miss you all!

Heather, Brandey and Candy

Hello friends!

We miss you all so very much and hope you are all safe and healthy! We can’t wait to see each and every single fluffy butt ❀️. Unfortunately, that will not be on 5/16 as we had been planning. The order for salon closures has been extended until 5/28. We assure you all that we have been working very hard behind the scenes trying to reopen, but this order does include us and we have to comply with the orders of the Governor.

🐢🐢 Please send us pictures in the comments below of our furry friends! 🐢🐢

If you have an appointment that was scheduled between 5/15 and 5/28 please feel free to shoot us a text to reschedule your appointment. Otherwise we will be working through these appointments and rescheduling each one.

Love,

Heather, Brandey and Candy ❀️

We know a lot of customers have been asking about curbside drop off and pick ups to get the salon open again. We would like nothing more than to get back to work. Unfortunately we dug a little bit deeper and found the Governor's stance on it in her executive order... we will continue to reach out to fellow groomers and our state government trying to push for a reopen as soon as possible. Be safe everyone!
