Gussie IS still looking for her forever home!!! I hope to find her a home so she can start her new year off in a new home!

And I know its shocking news but I do a whole lot more for Gus than just these posts you see. She is NOT my first foster dog. I have fostered and placed countless dogs into their forever homes. Unless you have something to add of value to finding her forever home please withhold your comments or messages.

Also thank you to everyone who reached out on fostering her - I have no doubt many of you would take great care of her. As of now she will stay at camp (camp is also NOT a “shelter” she is just stuck in 😏🙄)! Unless there is a pet & kid free home out there interested in fostering…I will consider moving her. She needs her forever home due to her owners death! Please reach out if you are interested!

Camp updates:
I had to send another one of my own on his next journey, had a full crew of campers all of November…errrr all year - as always! The camp crew quiets down now a bit before the Christmas rush. I will try and get caught back up on messages as soon as I can - please note there will be a delay in replies from now until Monday/Tuesday. If you’re a holiday booking I will be in touch to get all your times set up into next week. Please watch for SunDog changes going into effect January 1st. I am unsure if I will send it direct to all clients or post on socials/group page. Oh and its not meant to be a sad/grief post at all - this guy had a wonderful long life - I only shared as my camp phone is not my focus 365/24/7…

Another month still no home or leads…Gussie is ready to bust out of camp and find her forever home! I’d also entertain a foster home for her to get her reacclimated to home life if anyone has wanted to try out fostering or know someone! I will personally cover all her expenses & needs until a home is found as I have been.

And I’ve said it 100 times make sure you have a plan for your dogs should something happen to you and make sure you have a backup and another backup plan…

Camp fam - there may be a delay in message replies the next few days. Yes more so than my usual lackluster skills of replying. Sorry the pups here come first - not my phone! I will get back to you all as best I can. You must be on time the next few days. The times you are given are quite simply the times available…I’m not allowing nonstop exceptions or rearranging days/times or allowing appts 24/7 the next few days as I usually do. Other than that happy almost November! And send me photos of your pups in costumes tomorrow if ya do any!

My event is now complete! I am officially back to camp and with the dogs. This annual event weekend is not a vacation for me nor true time off - I will need a day or two to get back to replies as I get settled back into routine with the camp kids! IF you are a current camp fam your dates are likely alright as they always are! New inquiries I am behind on…working on ya as best I can.

Thank you to those who showed patience over the last few days, understood why I host this event, and respected camp. There will be some big changes next year on how camp will operate around this annual weekend (Friday-Monday)!!! As in its happened for four years now and it will continue to be an annual event! An event that is NOT about sad/grief…its about community, helping others, giving back, gathering with friends & their families, and so much more meaningfulness positive light to the day!

THANK YOU to anyone of you who took part in any part of the day! It was so great to see some SunDog Fams in attendance and if I recall correct a SunDog Team took 4th place!!! Go Pepe’s (and Bootsy & Bella’s) people ☺️☺️☺️!

Just a reminder my event is this Sunday to help a SunDog Fam! All are welcome to the after-party! Great tunes and good food!

To those I am making an exception and allowing your pup to be here over the weekend and also making another exception with me leaving the event to come back to camp for your drop off and pick ups - you must be on time!

Quite simply the times you are given are what are available…to help me give the best care to your pups and put on this wonderful event. I am not waiting around or accepting late people Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. You will be bumped to the next day/time/slot.

Also if you have an issue with me hosting 1-3 events a year (retired military dog event & a fundraising event or two) camp is not for you…I’ve tiptoed around this enough. I am allowed to host events and do something outside of camp. I go out of my way to take care of so many of you 365/24/7 and I am consistently making exceptions and more…yet still get words said to me around any of my events when I am just asking for 1-3 days of grace and respect to not only my timing but camp and the other dogs bunking here and their timing each day!

Considering I have had just two days off since December of 2022 I am not sure how me hosting an event or two means I am not all in on your campers as I have been for years and how it is an issue but OK -✌️! Assumptions kill relationships - personal & business. As always if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me directly.

I am doing Dre Day this year! It was amazing having so many SunDog people there last year! Golfers & sponsors! Can you all do it again this year? I need a lot of help!

This years outing will be raising funds for The Winkelmann Family - longtime SunDoggers! Their human Little Dre was a dynamic friend to our SunDog A and they had a special bond! In Little Dre’s words he is “Lil’ Me” & Andre was “Big Me”! Little Dre and Big Dre!

Dre Winkelmann is a spark in this world - full of life, strength, energy, enthusiasm, and an undeniably special human! His light has been dimmed and has been unable to walk for months, in severe pain, and is bed-bound needing 24/7 care. They still have zero answers and are trying to get to Mayo Clinic!

Their little pup Neo was a camp friend to all and life of the party here with all your pups! Dre now has his service dog Shadow MoonDog who they named after SunDog A!

Usually by now I am almost full with sponsors and teams alas camp has been busy busy - thank you all for that! This summer has been one of my busiest yet and summer is usually my slow season 😅!
