For 2024 we are NOT accepting new clients until further notice. We have received tons of calls recently and unfortunately we do not have the space at this time.

We will update on here most likely after summer or likely in 2025 when we will accept new clients during our slower months.

Starting April 3rd Team Elmers will be redoing our entire parking lot. Space will be limited between our employees and Great Lakes carrier. This project will take about 30 days. We are planning to update our text reminders with parking info for the day of your appointments. Please reach out if you need more information for appointments in the month of April.

Just a heads up to our clientele we’ve had for a while. Starting November 1st we will be raising prices. This is to equal them to the new prices that we have been charging our newer customers. For most dogs your price should not go up more than $5. There may be a larger price increase for bigger dogs. We appreciate your understanding!

Today we had a little reunion. Ollie and Ren are two of the Disney dogs that were rescued. They are also litter mates. Here’s a little photo shoot from today and when we volunteered at Cherryland Humane Society. They got to see each other again and play together for a few minutes! I would like think they recognized each other. Ollie ignored his needy sister Ren as she pestered him through the salon 😂.

It’s unfortunate that I even have to write this post but as of recently we have seen upset customers who have refused to return to our services because they were outside of our 10 minute late policy. We have this policy in place for everyones safety and stress levels. This is just a reminder that you are not above anyone just because you have been a client for years. We treat everyone equally. You put us in a hard position when you are rude to us because we are sticking to our policy we have had in place for many years. Believe me when we say we as a small business do not want to turn anyone away but have to make that tough decision when we are going to be behind and stressed our entire day. This doesn’t mean you can treat us poorly when we’ve explained in detail why we do not have enough time to groom your dog due to your tardiness. We hope you all understand.

Just a friendly reminder!!!

We do have two new groomers who are still learning and taking their time to be safe with everyones dogs. Please do not come in and make them feel rushed if it is taking longer than usual. We will always call you when your dog has 15 minutes left and ready to be picked up. Thank you for understanding.

We are looking for a part-time dog groomer (with possibility for full-time). We offer a flexible work schedule with many major holidays off. Pay is 50% commission plus tips. We pride ourselves in having a professional but relaxed environment. Must have positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills.

Job requirements:

Previous grooming experience (necessary)

Must be able to groom all breeds

Must be able to lift 50lbs

Have ability to work with dogs of all size, temperaments, & ensure the safety of each dog

Just a heads up the spring season will be here before we know it and with Kelsey leaving we are going to book up very quickly! Please book out a few appointments if possible to stay ahead of the rush! We are in the process of training a third groomer.

Hi everyone, Kelsey here and I have an announcement to make.

After living in Traverse City for over 10 years, I am relocating to the Tampa area with my family. My last day at Petit Pooch will be March 26th. If you want to get one last appointment in with me between now and then I will be doing my best to squeeze everyone in! If you have an appointment outside of this time frame we will be contacting you if we need to change the appointment.

I want to thank every one of you who have trusted me with your fur babies, many of which have become near and dear to me over the years. Words cannot begin to express how thankful I am that so many of you have been such amazing clients of mine for countless years. ♥️

PLEASE NOTE: the salon itself is not closing. Danielle & the team will still be grooming for you all!
