We have had two lovely supporters sponsor adoption fees for Taylor (the cat) and Ash (the dog)! Both are so ready for their forever homes!
Taylor is an active 6-7mo kitten who would love a playmate! He is so sweet, purrs SO loud, and would love to fall asleep on your couch in a comfy sun spot ☀️
Ash is a beautiful 1yo pitty mix with lots of love to give. He loves to run and play with other dogs and gives the best kisses. ❤

Last night, Scarlette got a nice night out on the town at TAVERN on Prospect! 🩷 She loved EVERYONE and EVERYTHING so much! She’s such a little social butterfly. (And cute as a button)
Scarlette is a little mini pitty mix at only about 40-45lbs. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and she’s ready for her forever home 🏡🩷

A lot of what we do is hard. There are some truly bad days that take a toll on us all. But the one thing we're proud to keep at the forefront of it all is helping these animals into their forever homes. So many sweet dogs and cats come through our shelter every year. Some of them dumped, some of them confiscated, some of them just need a soft place to land when their owners fall on hard times.

Peter was adopted about a week ago and sadly has been returned for not knowing how to be a "house dog". Peter is a VERY sweet boy but has obviously never been taught proper manners. We found him in a kennel, covered in his own filth. He will need help with potty training, but he's so food motivated and loves to learn! He just needs time and someone willing to work with him to become the best pup he can be.

We have TRULY been blessed with so much love and support this year. Pet Supplies Plus in Pekin, IL has decided to chose us as their shelter for holiday donations this year!
They have a "Give-a-Gift" Tree in their store where you can donate items to the dogs and cats of Tazewell County Animal Control as you're shopping.

We had SO much fun at the 2024 Pekin Winter Wonderland Festival Parade! You might have seen our gingerbread woman on a skateboard with Axel (he was trying out for Santa’s sled team 🎅🏼) or our little reindeer Ash in the back of the truck! Both good boys are available for adoption and would LOVE a home for Christmas 🎄❤️🐾

Another pup we’d like to highlight for our fundraiser is Mama Diamond.
Mama came in and had her babies here in the shelter while on her stray hold. She was COVERED in fleas from head to tail. Her skin is still recovering from those but her and her babies are now flea free. Elvis, Norma Jean, and Cher are all thriving now. She had an accident with one of her babies yesterday (we believe mom stepped on her) but she’s still the best mama and these puppies are getting chunky! 🍼
By donating to TCAA, you allow us to get emergency medical procedures done (like little tiny puppy staples) and provide care to Mama while she nurtures them 🩷🐾
