I’ve been hesitant to dive into form alteration, but finally had to overcome my fear and insecurity. Thanks Ross @ tall timbers taxidermy for being a great mentor and giving me the guidance needed to accomplish this first alteration.

With archery season starting this weekend, I’m sending a friendly reminder to all hunters who want their harvest mounted. Keep your hide as cool as possible and get to your taxidermist asap. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT put your hide in a plastic bag! I took in one last season and what was a hopeful shoulder mount became a European mount as the hide was completely spoiled.

I try to keep my business and personal pages separate. I would like to thank my clients for understanding and working with me as we just had a baby this week. I assure you I will get to your mounts ASAP. Thanks again for understanding.

Hunters…please don’t store your capes/heads in plastic bags unless you are keeping it in ice until you get it to me. Use game bags. Plastic bags are not breathable and cause the hide to spoil a lot faster. Even with using game bags, keep it as cold as possible. Thanks
