Many don't know this information! Remember every second matters during a choking incident.
1. Place the dog on their back. Brace the back against the floor. Straddle the dog while adjusting yourself based on the size of the dog. Position the head in “in-line position” with the airway parallel to the floor.
2. Make an open diamond shape with your hands. Place your thumbs on either side of the trachea below the ball or object. Grip the “V” of the jaw using lip/cheek to protect fingers.
3. Push with a J-stroke down and out against the ball until it ejects from the mouth.
Both this method and the Heimlich method has been proven to work in these scenarios so don't hesitate to save your dog.

After 16 years of grooming I have decided to quit. If I don’t stop now my arm is going to stop working and I can’t have that.

I want to thank all my clients I’ve made over the years for your friendship, lovely conversations and most of all for trusting me with your babies ❤️ if any of you have any questions during your transition finding another groomer feel free to ask, you have my number.

Williston Animal Group through their WAG Gives Back program has decided to focus attention more on spaying and neuters for dogs in 2023. WAG Gives Back is sponsoring two spay or neuters each month. Since we can only do two please expect a waiting list. If your dog needs a microchip, or a rabies shot, these will be included with the spay or neuter. To get on the waiting list please email me at [email protected] and I will send you the application to fill out. Please be patient. I will get to all emails in a timely manner. There will be no cost to you, but you will have to use the vet we use for the procedure. You have to be a resident of Levy, Alachua, Marion, Gilchrist, or Dixie counties to be considered for this mini grant.

Free DOG spays and neuters compliments of our own Nancy Smallbone. Registration is Saturday, February 18th. If your dog is not current on their rabies vaccine, a $15 vaccine fee will be collected the day of registration.

To maintain a healthy weight, your pet needs plenty of exercise. If your pet is a couch potato, decreasing the amount of food you feed or sometimes switching to a prescription diet is necessary!

Come join the fun for the first annual Trenton Animal Hospital Halloween Party! We will have a fall photo set on the front porch so bring your pet (dog, cat, rabbit, pig...you name it) dressed in costume and enter to win our annual Pet Costume Contest! There will also be a bounce house and treats for the kids, food, and free give-aways. The winner of the pet costume contest will be announced on Halloween Day...grand prize is $150 credit to the clinic with runner-up getting $100 and third place getting a $50 credit.
