💜‼️🩵UPDATE!!!🩵‼️💜
Thankfully we have not had any further cases 😁🫶🏼 just wanted to let all of you know if you have been waiting to hear back from us. We hope to see you all soon!

VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE

We want to let all our dog parents know that we have 4 confirmed cases of Canine Respiratory Disease also know as Kennel Cough.

We pride ourselves on giving your fur babies the best care and take pride in keeping our facility clean and in tip top shape. We want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to safeguard the pets in your care and have protocols in place to reduce the spread of the illness. Unfortunately, even with all our efforts this time of year our dogs can catch a cold just like us and our kids do.

It is becoming more and more common due to dogs being socialized at a higher rate at dog parks, daycares, boarding facilities, and dog friendly events. It is also very important to keep up on your dog’s yearly vaccines/boosters. The vaccine will not prevent the disease but will lessen the symptoms and duration of the disease. It can also decrease the amount of time that the sick dog can shed the disease.

What are we doing to prevent any further spread:
1. We are always alert for signs of canine respiratory disease, but especially during busy season. We are keeping a log and contacting all the dog parents that have been to bubble puppy since we got confirmation of the respiratory illness. We are getting as much information from each confirmed case to get the best timeframe of when their dog became sick.

2. If we have a dog that is in our care, and we see any signs or symptoms of them being sick we will Isolate and separate them immediately. They will need to be picked up right away and taken to the vet for proper testing and care. If it is confirmed that they have canine respiratory disease they will have to remain out of daycare for 2 weeks to insure they are no longer contagious.

3. If any dog is coughing, they will have to be taken home for the welfare of all the pets in your care, and we will be screening pets at check-in for cough or other symptoms of illness.

4. We already do a very good job cleaning but will intensify our cleaning and disinfecting procedures while we work through this timeframe.

5. All dogs need to have their shots up to date in their Gingr account. Please log into your personal account to do that as soon as you can. If you don’t have an account set up already please use the link below to gain access. You log in with your email or phone number associated with your account to set it up.
https://bubblepuppyplayhouse.gingrapp.com/front_end/login/email

6. We will contact all dog parents that have been to the daycare in the last week, and any upcoming reservations to let them know we have confirmed cases if canine respiratory disease.

Symptoms to look for:
Dogs that are affected by kennel cough usually have a quick onset of clinical signs, the most common being a cough which gets worse with exercise, excitement, and/or pressing on the neck region. Most dogs that become ill with kennel cough will get better without any medical treatment in 10-to-14 days, although some develop a more severe form and need medical attention. Some signs that your dog may be developing a more severe case or have something more concerning, such as canine influenza, are fever, colored nasal discharge, lethargy, lack of appetite, and increased effort when breathing. If you believe that your dog has contracted kennel cough, it is best to consult with your veterinarian, as some cases require medication.

We don’t want to create any panic, but we want to be transparent and will share any new updates with you. The health and safety of your dogs is our top priority. We will continue to update you as we go, please reach out with any questions or concerns

Sincerely,

Sarah Bailey and Bubble Puppy Staff 🫶🏼

Miss Ruby was so happy with her new sweater today. She is the sweetest girl and look at her smile!

Blue and Niko were playing hard all day and Niko also has a winning smiles. Ella posed in her new sweater, Bronco chilling on the couch, and Oscar was holding his friend Broncos hand when he needed a rest.

Iyla did her cute pose, and Charlotte was the window girl today waiting for her momma to show up. There are more photos but Ava has them. She can post them later or tomorrow!

We want to thank everyone that continues to bring there fur babies to Bubble Puppy. Your support means the world to us and we really do love them like our own. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🫶🏼
