so your dog never got loose from you? I suppose not. never had dogs when you were little either. dogs are unpredictable and we had the dog on the owners leash and collar and found that to be a big mistake sorry we can't please you. But your not the only person in this world. we have made improvements whether you like it or not we have moved forward even though you could care less. get over the fact that it happened and we have improved our handling of Dogs, like getting permission to put in a dog run at a commercial property ( have you ever had to do that?) and using our own leashes. yes Mistakes were made and by the way every new business makes mistakes it doesn't mean you pack up your stuff and run it means you learn from it and improve. so in that we take Pride in our Community that helps fix the wrongs and don't listen to the ones that all they want to do is knock you down. those are the people that need to reflect on their social skills and learn from mistakes. We are open minded to find solutions to problem not sweep them under the carpet.

Today is just another day in the Earth Zoo.
We had a dog get away from us on Friday afternoon, he was a nice little shih tzu. Crazy little dog was piddling on the floor so Gylinda took him out back to finish his business on his leash and collar, the owner came back to pick him up and I went out back to tell Gylinda. Gylinda then proceeded to pick up Charlie and headed up the stairs to come into the shop, Charlie then jumped out of Gylinda’s arms and she held onto the leash Charlie, Gylinda yelled Eddie, then Charlie turned and backed out of his collar Gylinda yelled Eddie! he got loose then Charlie proceeded to run between the buildings toward Commercial St. and headed north. I ran north through the city parking lot in hopes to catch or keep an eye on him when I had asked a lady and her daughter if they seen a little gray dog they said he just past us right there pointing behind them I looked around the corner of the building and there was on the corner of the block so as I ran towards him as he turned down plum st., when I reached the corner (40 Yards) I looked down plum and everywhere I could see to look for him and he was gone while I was running I yelled he went this way but I guess no body heard me because I looked back and there was no one around. So I proceeded to go behind the buildings thinking he’s so fast but I would have seen him down plum St. and the alleyway so it’s behind the buildings I go. Couldn’t find him all afternoon and into the evening. I walked from commercial east to around Burlington ave. thinking that’s where I was I could see the drive inn screen from there so I turned around and went to noah’s arc to see if they had seen him and nope it was a bust so I proceeded west on the trail thinking maybe he went this way, and OMG there are hundreds of little dirt trails to the river from the bike trail and I tried to follow them all with no sighting. I came back from the I-25 Highway through the park and to commercial st. to the shop to produce some flyers. It was about 5pm called Gy no sightings. Sat on the steps out back to take a break and My brothers friend came out and said there’s a Police Officer here to take a report, I was glad he was there I didn’t have to call them. I gave my report and Gy had just called to check in and I told her the Police Officer was there for a report and she headed back to the shop she was just at Noah’s arc checking in there. I told the Officer and he said good I can wait. When Gylinda returned she gave her report and the Officer was off. I returned to walking around town through alleys and in fenced areas where he might have gone with no sightings and everybody I seen had not seen him, I kept thinking where could he possibly have gone so fast? It was getting dark 30 and I no longer can tell the weeds from the bushes so I exited the search till day break. You see we love Dogs, We would rather be around animals than people because they love you unconditionally no matter what as long as you show them love, and they know if you’re a good person or not. Anyways We returned to the search around town and down the trail I went heck my smart watch said I walked 4 miles yesterday and I though I hope we find him early. We received a call from a lady that said she was following him and we gave her number to the owner Mary to call he as we headed to our vehicles to go there by the time we reached the car Gy had called the lady and she said they got him, Thank God, not that I was exhausted but because Charlie is back home. As we reflect on this situation after all the sour yelling and threatening to burn down the building, after the non stop berating from the owner wanting to beat us up, after the yelling that the whole town is coming for us, we were able to relax and take a breath. Still knowing that we did all we could do and more because we shut down the business to search we still are grateful we had that time to do it. Some business are too busy to do things like that and some would have given up after the berating we received and even though everything turned out alright it’s ok to not get one Apologie or thank you, not one I’m sorry we yelled at you not 1 I’m sorry we threatened to burn down your business and threaten your Livelihood, and that’s too bad just gives us more of not wanting to be around people, they can be so vicious and not care what they do to others. Well it took a toll on our well being so we took a break and went to pueblo for the airtime. Thank all of you that participated in his return it was awful that he ran away it was hard on the owner and us that he was able to getaway. The solution to all of it is underway, I have to put up some fencing in the back for an enclosure to minimize the running off from future dogs that visit us and yes there is progress when dealing with everything at once. I know we will never go back to what might be construed as normal and the status quo we will move forward and progress beyond what we were into what can be.
