How many dogs are in your household? How is that going for you ... and your dogs?
If you share your life with more than one dog, or want to learn in case you run into multi-dog situations in the future, you might want to attend our July workshop webinar: Beyond baby gates - ADB on multi-dog households

In this workshop we are going to look at things to watch out for, and things you can do to help ease tensions. Management is important, but it doesn't stop there. So, please join us.

Date and time are Saturday, July 27th at 11 am

We will record, in case you can't attend in-person.

Join us as we discuss the dynamics in multi-dog households, and how to meet each dog's needs with or without the use of physical barriers

Reminder: there are only two days left for you to sign up to this upcoming workshop webinar.

Motivation goes way beyond the treats you use or the games you play (though those are a couple of important ones to understand as well), which makes this webinar so important. Don't miss this opportunity to get to know more about your dog.

ALSO: What motivation related questions would you like to see addressed live during the event?

Dog Walking Tip:

These 2 walked in a new area, new person, new rules...

After visiting new areas and even after an exciting walk, please take time to use CARE (urge to nurture) for your dog.

This isn't a training thing.

It's a living thing.

We can easily many it an "enrichment" activity.

Walking a dog isn't the only bonding part.

After any fun activity, it's nice to destress with someone.

Decompress even.

That's what we are doing here.

It can be your dogs, your clients dogs, friends dogs, your group of dogs for your dog walking business. Even after leaving a dog park.

When the brain is ready to settle the body and possibly sleep, it is going to recall all the stressors so it can store the needed memories for future use.

If you can feel emotionally vulnerable, the brain will remember that it can rest and recover with someone. Even if your dog doesn't like touch, you can sit with them. That will help their memories and strengthen certain Neuro pathways for finding emotional safety.

So please, remember to spend that unwinding, After CARE (urge to nurture) with your dog.

We all need that friend.

Is it time to untrain dogs?

An opinion piece by Diana Kastner, ADB Instructor I have been pondering over this article for quite some time; not just days or weeks, but months. I didn't want it to be too controversial or too opinionated or too casual, but in the end, it is what it is: an opinion piece and a little bit of a perso...
