The Trinidad Animal Shelter will be closed all day today Monday, September 1st , in observance of Labor Day. 🇺🇸🐾

Don’t worry—our sweet shelter babies will still be well taken care of by our amazing staff. ❤️🐶🐱

We’ll reopen during our normal business hours on Wednesday from 11:00-4:00. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Our pups and kitties are all snuggled up with plenty of comforters, but we’re in need of thinner fleece blankets to keep them cozy without getting too warm. 🥺❤️

🐾🎉 Happy National Dog Day! 🎉🐾

Today we celebrate all of the amazing pups who bring so much love, joy, and wagging tails into our lives. From the playful puppies to the wise old souls, every dog deserves a little extra love today 💕

Here at the shelter, we are lucky enough to be surrounded by so many wonderful dogs just waiting for their forever homes. 🏡🐶 If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, tomorrow is the perfect day to stop by and meet them! We will be open for meet and greets all day from 11:00-12:00 12:30-4:00!!!

🐾✈️ Meet Marbles, our Pet of the Week! 🐾
Marbles has been with us since 12/2/24, and she’s more than ready to find her perfect forever home. This sweet girl recently got the amazing opportunity to go on a plane ride—and she absolutely LOVED it! 💕 She was all smiles being up in the clouds, showing just how adventurous and joyful she truly is.

Marbles is such a special dog with so much love to give. Let’s help her find the family she’s been waiting for. 🏡❤️

Starting Monday, August 18, 2025, we're excited to announce updated hours to better serve our beloved animals and residents:
Adoptions & Visits:
Wednesday, Friday & Saturday
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Stray Reclaim Hours (7 Days a Week):
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

These changes enable us to dedicate more time to providing top-quality care, enrichment, and medical attention to our furry friends, while still allowing pet owners to reclaim lost pets daily.
