Kismet still needs a home 🙏🏻🙏🏻
FOSTER or FOSTER to ADOPT NEEDED!!

Kismet is currently in boarding in Trinidad CO and needs to leave by this weekend!!!

Backstory 💔

MBFR received a call that a young dog named Kismet was stuck in a high euthanasia rate AC in Stanislaus California
And that he was chipped to us 😖

A couple years ago we’d worked with a CA rescue on a young Mal - needed medical and tho we wanted to help we didn’t have the resources
They did, stepped up and everything went great!

Fast forward a few months and unknown to us, they pulled a young mother and newborn puppies
We had no idea until…..

Fast forward a year - Stanislaus AC in CA called and said they had a young dog that was chipped to MBFR
I didn’t recognize him at all!!
After some research I realized the other rescue had been the one to pull
Reached out and they confirmed
THEN said they had nowhere for him to go
THEN their solution was to euthanize him!!
JUST A YEAR OLD 🤦‍♀️

Not happening

So with some AWESOME help from our FANTASTIC foster and transport friend Keith with Hoffman Transport (USDA and go all through the US btw ❤️) we got him out and to safety

A few months later KISMET IS HERE IN COLORADO AND NEEDS A HOME!!!

Kismet is a GORGEOUS Shepherd/Mal/Staffie/Husky/Aussie SUPERMUTT!!!
He has BEAUTIFUL ICE BLUE EYES ❤️
He’s neutered, utd on vax and microchipped 🐾🐾

He weighs about 55 pounds and is tall and slim

Kismet needs an active home!! He really needs another dog in the family to shine - he needs some manners training but is very willing and happy to learn.
He is a slightly submissive dog and would do best with a calm alpha female dog about the same size and energy level
Slow intros are always recommended but he should do well with most dogs
He was kenneled with a similar size 10 month old rather bossy Pittie/Catahoula and would walk away when she got to be too much lol
Prefer no small children - Kismet gets overwhelmed easily and can be snippy tho I think he’ll settle down in the right home

Adoption/rehoming fee is negotiable and will be waived for the right family

URGENT FOSTER or FOSTER TO ADOPTER!! 🐾🐾

First is DALLAS ❤️❤️
Just a young pup still, Dallas is barely a year old and weighs around 50lbs.

Dallas is very high energy and can run/play for hours!!
He is very much a puppy and can be a little rough/rowdy. He is also still learning socializing and is a very quick learner- super smart baby! He wants to please, loves the positive reinforcement tho he needs structure 🐾🐾♥️

Dallas walked well on the leash but can be a strong puller. He enjoys and plays well with certain dogs that can handle his non stop playful hyper energy. He can be a little bit rough when he plays.
Would do great with a calm dog.
Not sure about cats.
Older kids would be best. He may knock little ones down from his puppy energy. Working on potty training and he doesn't like his crate, but will go in it. He does have some anxiety.

Dallas we will need someone who will be patient, kind and give him lots of love and praise.

Dallas does have a backstory 💔
Owner surrendered on 4/15/2024 at high kill shelter, fostered to adopt on 5/6,
returned for “not right fit” on 6/26,
adopted on 6/30
returned for active behavior on 7/15.
Dallas was healthy, non aggressive and was sentenced to death just to free up space.

🆘ASKHER NEEDS A PLACE TO GO!!!! 🆘😬🙏🏻

This little Shepherd mix is Askher ❤️
She’s just as sweet as can be, loves everyone and is good with dogs of all sizes
Just over a year old, Askher is around 40 pounds, spayed and utd on vax

Currently located in S CA her foster is moving by the end of June, cannot take her foster dogs and Askher HAS TO HAVE A NEW HOME!!

Meet DOZER ❤️🤷‍♀️

Located in Pueblo CO with his short term foster this handsome guy needs a long term foster or foster to adopt ASAP!!!
His short term foster mom is going out of town

We pulled a little Staffie Moo Moo from a TX shelter and as she was leaving realized she had a roomie! And it was her son!!!
Well, couldn’t leave him behind so….

Welcome Dozer!!!

Dozer is a sweetheart that has a little bit of a ham in him lol
He LOVES the camera 🤣❤️
About 6 years old, Dozer is 60 pounds and somewhat short and stocky 🙂
He’s pretty active and would do best in a home with another dog around his age and energy level.
He does have his nap times too lol

So we did this 😜🤦‍♀️🤣❤️😖🐾🐾

Well - we never leave one behind so….
Here’s Moo Moo and Dozer ❤️🐾🐾❤️

Mama MooMoo is an older gal that was in trouble - time at the shelter was up
She has some medical issues - quite a few we believe - and I knew that going in

But -

Turns out MooMoo is a mama and her son Dozer was also at the shelter
Not in danger yet but with the way things are now, it was coming.
And regardless, they are BONDED and no way was I going to separate them
SO….. here we are

Moo Moo and Dozer are with their beyond WONDERFUL foster getting some much needed relax time ❤️❤️❤️
They had baths yesterday - they were STINKY! - and will be seeing the vet later this week for bloodwork, f***l and skin scrap for Moo (she has something going on and has oozing sores) and another visit for X-rays on Dozers hind leg (he’s dragging it 💔)

We need some help here now please!!
I expect some high vet bills and would really love some donations to help!!

FOSTER URGENTLY NEEDED!!!!

NEED A FOSTER OR PRE-ADOPTER

This handsome guy is STILL in CA and we NEED to find a spot for him in Colorado if possible!! Surrounding areas will work but we want him close to us here

So…..We tagged a dog for 🤦‍♀️ another rescue that we’d worked with. Turned out she was a mom to be and seemed like a success ❤️
Well….. it ended up not so great for this one puppy Kismet
Adopted then dumped at Stanislaus, a high euth rate AC in CA, the rescue had nowhere for him to go and their solution wasn’t mine so we took him under MBFR and got him out of there!

Kismet is just over a year old and he is a SUPERMUTT!!!
Blue eyes and spots 🤣🤣 he is a GORGEOUS guy!!!
About 65 pounds, high energy so definitely needs an active family
Neutered, chipped, utd on his vax Kismit is looking for his REAL furever and a day home 🙏🏻❤️

Little Moo Moo NEEDS a little help!!

This sweetheart is around 9 years old, has some medical issues and is stuck in a Texas shelter that is currently euthanizing for space 💔
So many dogs aren’t making it out of shelters today - and this little one has a date and time set for today 💔

We have been closed to intake for months and are STILL struggling.
We have 4 that STILL need a place to go.
We have little in way of funds and without donations, this precious girl’s medical will have to be covered by me personally which won’t be easy BUT will be done

This is Chessie ❤️ and he NEEDS a long term/furever foster!!!

My rescue is pretty much closed and he’s coming back by the end of May!!! I have NOWHERE to put him 💔!!!!!

PLEASE if you can long term or furever foster PLEASE PM ME!!!!

I will supply everything you need and will provide his medical - he just needs a loving home to keep him comfortable

Chessie was pulled from a S CA shelter a while back and was adopted by his foster mom ❤️
She has had some serious issues come up and simply just cannot keep him - she’s HEARTBROKEN and if there was any other choice she’d take it. There just isn’t so he’s coming back to us 🐾🐾

Chessie is a 3 year old Mastiff that weighs around 120 pounds
He’s super sweet, has been well socialized with dogs of all sizes and energy levels - he loves people and especially children
Cats are unknown but he’s pretty laid back so with supervision and slow intros with a dog savvy cat he should do ok
Chessie needs a furever foster or a special foster to adopt - he has some hip issues and surgery is not really an option. It’s due to lameness that the vet believes is due to bone plate closure issues 💔

Chessie is currently in S California - I’m looking for a home for him here by me in S Colorado, the Pueblo CO area or even NW NM area so he can get my vets for any treatments he may need going forward

🆘🆘 EMERGENCY AT RIVERSIDE ACS 🆘🆘

RIVERSIDE CA has had TWO CRUELTY CASES 💔

60 HORSES AND 40 HERDING TYPE AND GSD DOGS INVOLVED IN ONE

SECOND HAS 113 😭 LITTLE DOGS!!!

RESCUES FOSTERS WILL BE NEEDED

“RCDAS was recently involved to two large cruelty confiscate cases. The first case involved more than 60 horses and 40 dogs. The horses are unsocialized stallions, mares, and mares with foals. The dogs are herding type breeds- border collie, Australian shepherd and German Shepherd. These dogs are being held at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus. The horses are available for transfer by appointment.

The second case resulted in 113 small dogs, terrier type breeds, being removed from a hoarding situation. These dogs are available at our Western Riverside/Jurupa Valley shelter”

This is so true 💔

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a dog rescue .
Running a dog rescue is really hard.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.
Friends and family will expect favor’s and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful dog rescue puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in dog rescue after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small dog rescues …….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

This is Buddy ❤️

And while he is VERY well taken care of with Bailie Newman - she did NOT expect to take him - she is incurring some SERIOUSLY HIGH vet bills 💔

He has some bone issues and needs continual vet care

Buddy is a GORGEOUS Cane Corso rescued from a high euthanasia rate ACC is Orange County CA and he was on his way to the back when we sent the pull - ANOTHER long story told later

He had NOWHERE to go and Bailie stepped up

ALL donations go directly to her!!!
A receipt will be sent from our 501c3 for tax purposes but his expenses are now falling on her 💔 until the rescue is running again
