I went out to see if I could dip some water out of my pond so no more of my fish would get washed but it’s raining too hard and already overflowing. I need to have something to put over it when it rains like this. I’m ready for ideas. I lost one the last time. 2 washed out and I found 1 alive and put it back in but the other one got trapped in some trash. I hope they manage to stay at the bottom.

Surgery wasn’t what I expected. It went well but he wanted me to spend the night so I’m here enjoying my stay at Kernersville Medical Center. And I really mean that. I’m one that really enjoys staying in the hospital. I push a button and they bring me what I want. I have big tv. I don’t have to walk or feed the dogs Thanks “Sharon Hill” for coming when I need you most tttto take care of the fur babies.” Hopefully I will go home tomorrow. I have no surgical pain because he did a spinal tap and put some gradual release pain med in, so I’m not hurting there. But if you’ve have surgery and they put the gas in there so they can see, you know it hurts in the shoulders and back sometimes. Well he had to inflate it 3 times so this has been very painful even has risen to my neck and face and not really much you can do except walk. I’ve walked all around this side of 3rd floor. Praying it all goes away by morning.

The day is finally here! After hurting almost every time I eat anything I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel I hope. I knew I had a hiatal hernia. After having every test there was to get on my gallbladder they didn’t know where it was coming from. I ask the Dr. if he thought it might be the hiatal hernia. He thought a minute and said well that makes sense and sent me for another endoscopy. That Dr that did the endoscopy sent me to a surgeon. I’m getting it fixed TODAY. I will be coming back home. Say a prayer for me please that all goes well.

PAUL HARVEY'S LETTER TO HIS GRANDCHILDREN
We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse. For my grandchildren, I'd like better.
I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches.. I really would.
I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by being cheated.
I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the car.
And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are sixteen.
It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog put to sleep.
I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in.
I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother/sister. And it's all right if you have to draw a line down the middle of the room, but when he wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I hope you let him.
When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to tag along, I hope you'll let him/her.
I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in a town where you can do it safely.
On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your driver to drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with someone as uncool as your Mom.
If you want a slingshot, I hope your Dad teaches you how to make one instead of buying one.
I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books.
When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and subtract in your head.
I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush on a boy / girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what ivory soap tastes like.
May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove and stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole.
I don't care if you try a beer once, but I hope you don't like it... And if a friend offers you dope or a joint, I hope you realize he/she is not your friend.
I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandma/Grandpa and go fishing with your Uncle.
May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays.
I hope your mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through your neighbor's window and that she hugs you and kisses you at Christmas time when you give her a plaster mold of your hand.
These things I wish for you - tough times and disappointment, hard work and happiness. To me, it's the only way to appreciate life.

1 more day!! If you failed to get your dog in before I have surgery I should be able to start back to grooming dogs under 25lbs in approximately 2 weeks. I will start up slow but I will get them in. After tomorrow you can message me or call me at 3364569761. If you think about it please say a prayer for me tomorrow that surgery will go well and I will heal fast and get back to my normal self (well maybe better than my normal self). I don’t know exactly how I will feel. I know laparoscopic surgery is better and you heal faster. I sure hope so. They will get me looking more like this.

Today was my last day to groom before surgery Wednesday. I worked from 9 this morning to 5:30 this afternoon. 7 grooms and 1 bath. My feet feel like they should belong to someone else. I don’t think they have ever hurt this bad. I have alot of things to do tomorrow so I’m not grooming any tomorrow. Prayers are appreciated that this surgery goes well. It will be nice not to hurt every time I eat. It probably will seem strange since it’s been going on for a whole year. I’m actually looking forward to getting this done. Hopefully I should be able to start back to work in 2 weeks with small dogs not over 25 lbs. same as when I had the back surgery.

What a day! 7 grooms and a bath plus 2 dogs for toe nails. One more day of work before I have surgery and can be off 2 weeks. I needed to plant flowers this evening but I don’t know if I’m going to I’m pretty sore already from working so long. Going to try to see the northern lights tonight.

Tomorrow is full. Wednesday I have room for a couple. Thursday I can schedule about 3 more. Saturday is wide open. I also am working Monday but it’s full. I will not be working Tuesday the day before surgery. Then Wednesday the 15th will be my surgery day and I will be out 2-3 weeks. So let me know early if you need to get in. Text 336-456-9761.

I can take some more dogs this week for Tuesday,Thursday, and Saturday. Just a reminder that I am having surgery on May 15th. If your dog will need grooming please go ahead and make an appointment. I will be out of work then for 2 weeks and will start back slowly. This surgery was not a planned surgery. It’s something that has to be soon at some point so I just want to get it done and over with so I can enjoy my summer. So give me a call or text 336-456-9761. Thanks.

I am still slowing down a little because of the back surgery I had but I will groom up to 4 a day and maybe more if part of them are just baths and nails. I may be a little slower lol. It hasn’t been the best day for sure. Keeping heat on my back some today. That makes it feel a little better. It’s been rough but I know it will be worth it in a couple weeks. Thanks to all of you that have called to check on me. I go back to the Dr on the 23rd. I will know then what day I can start working. I will start off with about 2 a day 4-5 days a week then gradually pick up and go back to normal. Thanks again for your understanding.

I got the temporary wires out of my back this morning. I will be working the rest of the week but have very limited space left. Then the 16th they will surgically place the permanent implant in my back. I am so blessed to have the Dr I have that thought I was a good candidate for it. He was right. I got around 75% relief from the symptoms of tingling burning and numbness in my feet. And my feet are not so cold anymore. The symptoms will probably come back some before I get the permanent one but at least I know now it will work. I will have to take another week off after I get the implant but then I can start back slowly until it heals. Thanks everyone that will bear with me through this. They had originally told me I would have to take off 6 weeks but i talked to the Dr and we came up with a plan so I could do just 2 small ones a day. I can’t take off for 6 weeks even tho I would probably enjoy that. lol. So that is my plan. It will be over before I know it and I’m looking forward to the progress of this.

I’m getting close to the end of the trial part of this neuropathy research. I’m happy to say I’ve gone from feeling tingling and burning up to my knees to only feeling tingling and a little burning in my left foot. They have me adjusting the remote a couple times a day and so far with every one it’s better. If you have neuropathy and have the chance to do this I recommend it highly. I’m hoping by the end of this I have no symptoms or at least barely have any. My feet are warm feeling for the first time in years. Tuesday I will get these out and I can groom for a week. I am so filled up but can take a couple more. Then on the 16th I get the permanent implant. I will have to take a few days off again to let it heal and then just do the dogs that don’t give me a hard time and only 2-3 a day. So please bear with me during this phase. I know it’s working and I will forever be Grateful to Dr Janis Patel for getting me into this.

Some of you know that I’m working toward getting a spinal implant in my back for neuropathy. Well I got the trial inserted on this past Wednesday. I had to cancel all my appointments I had for this week. I get these out on next Tuesday the 9th So that week will be very busy. The only appointments I have available are on Saturday. Then on the 16th I will have the permanent one implanted. So the rest of that week I will have to be very careful what I do so I won’t be booking appts. When I start back on the 23rd I will only be grooming 2-3 easy dogs a day. They told me to take off for 6weeks but I talked to my Dr and he said if I take off the rest of the week and the week and be very careful what I do. I can’t bend or twist and not lift dogs over 20 lbs and only 2-3 per day I work. So if yall would please bear with me I would appreciate it. I’ve got the best most considerate people I know. I still have those appt on Saturday 13th.

Please don’t just let your dog roam around. I have numerous dogs to show up at my house. One In particular comes by every day almost. My customers are afraid to get dog out. I know dogs sometimes get out and that is possible. My fear is them getting taken by someone using them for dog bait for fighting. Or on this road in particular cars come flying by. They don’t slow down for a person or animals. Accidents happen and sometimes they just disappear. So if your dog has a tendency to wander off please put up a lot or something to keep them confined. If you can’t do that invest in an underground fence.
