🚨Heat Advisory Alert from The Dogscape Dog Daycare 🚨

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!!

It’s crucial to keep our furry friends safe and cool. Here are some essential tips to ensure your pups stay comfortable during these scorching days:

🔥 Stay Indoors: Keep your pets inside as much as possible, especially during the hottest parts of the day (10 AM - 4 PM).

💧 Hydration is Key: Make sure your dog has access to plenty of fresh, cool water at all times. Consider adding ice cubes to their bowl for an extra chill!

🚫 Avoid Hot Pavement: Asphalt and concrete can get extremely hot and burn your dog’s paws. Walk your dog early in the morning or late in the evening when the ground is cooler.

🆒 Create a Cool Space: Set up a cool, shaded area for your dog to relax in. Fans and air conditioning are great if you have them!

🌞 Limit Exercise: Reduce the intensity and duration of your dog’s exercise during high temperatures. A short walk or play session is enough.

🧊 Cooling Treats: Offer your pup some homemade frozen treats. Try freezing their favorite dog-safe fruits or even make pup-sicles with diluted chicken broth!

🚿 Wet Towels & Baths: Wet a towel with cool water and place it on your dog’s back or let them take a refreshing bath to help lower their body temperature.

❗ Know the Signs of Heatstroke: Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, and vomiting can be signs of heatstroke. If you suspect your dog is overheating, contact your vet immediately.

What an incredible day filled with wagging tails, festive cheer, and an overwhelming outpour of generosity!
