***UPDATE REGARDING PET DONATIONS FOR INDIAN LAKE TORNADO VICTIMS***
Home Away From Home (dog groomer/boarding/daycare/training facility in Huntsville near Indian Lake). They are taking in animals found and will house them until the owners are found "and" until those owners have a safe place to keep their pets again.
Right now they have 10 dogs they have taken in... the owners have been found, but every one of them lost their home. These dogs will be able to stay there until the owners have a safe place to take them and they are providing any needed vet care free of charge for the owners (I think this is awesome). They have several cats that owners have not been found yet and they are expecting a lot more cats to come in as things start to calm down in the area and they start to come out of hiding.
The owner of Home Away From Home said things they could use to help these animals/families are things such as:
*leashes
*dry dog food
*canned dog food
*dry/canned cat food
*treats
*kitty litter
*kitty litter boxes (they said the disposable boxes would be great or even foil baking pans work well)
*fleece blankets (the cheap fleece blankets she said work well and tgey are easier on their washing machines because they are lite weight ... but any blankets are appreciated)
*laundry soap (they wash bedding every day)
*trash bags (there going through those fast with having extra animals staying there)
*towels
*food/water bowls
The owner said they will also send some supplies with families to help get families going again once tgey are able to get their animals picked up.
U can mail items directly to this amazing place, or you can drop items and donations here at the salon and I will make sure they get where they need to be!
