🚨 PLEASE READ: Our Shelter is OVERWHELMED 🚨

We need our community to hear us with open hearts: Pike Animal Shelter is currently at full capacity. We are doing everything we can to care for the animals already here, but we cannot take in any more at this time.

Please, do not abandon animals at our shelter after hours. Leaving them tied up or dropped off without speaking to anyone is not only unsafe for the animal — it’s also deeply irresponsible.

We know it’s hard. We know times are tough. But if you’re in a situation where you feel like surrendering a pet is your only option, please come in during our business hours and talk to us. We’ll explain the current situation and try our best to connect you with resources.

Our hearts break every day seeing how many animals need help. But we can’t do this alone. Help us by being part of the solution — not by adding to the crisis.

😿 This poor kitten was found this morning abandoned at our door  by a staff member screaming, scared, and soaked. Probably terrified by storm, she was all alone and trembling when we found her.

We can only imagine what she went through out there.

She’s safe now at Pike Animal Shelter, warm, dry, and finally able to rest. But this is just one example of why we urge people not to abandon animals, especially in this weather. They are scared, vulnerable, and completely dependent on us to do better for them.

Please help us help them. Spay and neuter your pets. Reach out if you’re overwhelmed. Support your local shelter, we are over capacity but doing all we can every single day.

Our shelter is full.
Our hearts are overflowing.
And our hope lies in you — our community. 💔

Right now, every kennel is taken. Every space is filled with wagging tails and longing eyes. We are doing everything we can… but we can’t do this alone.

🐾 These sweet, fluffy babies need homes.
They are loving, deserving, and waiting for someone to see them — really see them — and say, “You’re mine.”

We need adopters. We need you to come walk through our doors and meet these incredible souls. Whether you’re ready to bring one home or just help spread the word, every act of kindness matters.

And please — spay and neuter your pets.
It’s the only way we can stop this endless cycle of overcrowding, heartbreak, and animals without homes.

Do you remember the six tiny puppies who came to us malnourished, full of worms, and fighting for a chance at life?

They were weak, fragile, and clinging to hope — but we promised them that better days were coming.

💔 We held them close when their little bodies trembled.
💊 We treated their bellies full of worms.
🍲 We nourished them back to health, one small meal and one gentle cuddle at a time.

Today, we have beautiful news:
They are healthy, worm-free, full of life — and ready to find the loving homes they deserve. 🐾

These pups have overcome so much already. All they need now is someone to love them forever. If you’ve ever considered opening your heart and home to a rescue, this is the moment.

Let’s give their story the happy ending they’ve fought so hard for. ❤️
