Hey guys!

Recovery is going good... So starting March I'll start watching dogs again... I still have to be a little selective due to my knee. I also don't plan on hiring anyone this year so I will have hours which I will post later.... I still have to take things easy and I need to remind myself that from time to time. So if you have your summer dates let me know.

Day one.. everything went well with the surgery.. just a lot of pain and a lot of sleeping. Thanks for all the prayers.. I'm hoping tomorrow is a little easier.

Hey everyone! There's a little update on me... My surgery is scheduled for January 5th... So with that in place I won't be taking any more reservations starting January 3rd thru March.. this will also depend on how my recovery goes.
I know some of you have already made reservations and you're more than welcome to keep them.. mother in law will be taking care of them. This decision didn't come easy to me but I need to focus on my recovery 100% and not stress over the kennel stuff...Thanks for understanding.. and hopefully I'll see all you guys in April 😊

Update: spoke to both doctors... they both said the same thing... Which I'm relieved about.. so the plan is to let the MCL and the tibial plateau heal on its own which is about 6-8 🥴😕 then he will do surgery on my ACL... But before he can do surgery on it I have to be able to bend my knee fully... 😩 So I have to do PT.. it will still be a long slow recovery they said... I'll still be taking certain dogs during this time. So please be patient I'm already over this whole situation and ready to get back to normal.

Update since alot have asked... Got my MRI done this morning and they called with the results...
MCL and ACL tear also impacted tibula plateau (?) I think that's how you spell it.
They want me to go see a specialist at Barnes. I'm also getting a second opinion on Friday.
They also restricted me to no weight on that leg
I'll keep everyone updated when I get more information.

Update on me: as of today I'm waiting to get a MRI... Doctor thinks it's my MCL and ACL that's torn but won't know for sure til the MRI. With that being said as of now I won't be taking any more reservations but I will honor the ones that are on my books... If you do NEED boarding you can always reach out and ask... There are some dogs I'm able to handle while being on crutches and there's some dogs I cannot handle while being on crutches. Please be patient with me during this I'm really trying not to shut down 100 percent. Thanks!

Please be patient with me for the next few weeks. I go to the orthopedic doctor Tuesday to figure out how bad my knee is. I do ask that everyone dropping off this weekend please give me a rough time you'll be coming so I can be out there for you.
