Hounds Town USA-Metro Detroit is a fully interactive doggie daycare, overnight dog boarding, and pet spa facility that offers customers worry-free and reliable pet care service. We also offer a convenient pet taxi!
Founded in 2001 by Michael S. Gould, former Commanding Officer of the Nassau County Police Canine Unit, FBI Executive Law Enforcement Management, Canine Forensics Expert, and a Military and Navy Veteran. Michael brings 35 years of commercial canine experience to the private pet care industry. โOur honest and straightforward approach to pet care is a refreshing experience in an industry that is inundated with many so-called professionals that are inexperienced at best, and exploitive at worst,โ says Michael.
Unlike most other pet care facilities in the nation, Hounds Town does not breed discriminate. Dogs are placed in play groups determined by size, personality, and temperament, where they interact and play all day long. The psychological structure that natural packs offer helps with separation anxiety, confidence building, obedience, and many other behavioral issues. Itโs also peace of mind for our customers, knowing that their dogs have a place to be themselves without having to pay a fortune.
In addition to offering daycare, boarding, and grooming, Hounds Town also works with local shelters and rescue groups through its non-profit Hounds Town Charities to rehabilitate dogs deemed potentially dangerous and are at risk of being euthanized.
