RVT + Team Lead opportunity in Truckee, CA! Doctor’s Office For Pets is looking for an experienced technician to join the team. This is a great opportunity for technicians looking to utilize their skills while taking on more leadership responsibilities.

We are a full-service clinic that treats dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and exotics. At Doctor’s Office For Pets, our fast-paced, yet easy-going environment encourages team collaboration and continued development. Our talented staff embraces a positive hospital culture where each member of the team feels valued, and everyone understands the importance each role plays in the success of our practice.

The RVT + Team Lead will be responsible for:
• General RVT tasks such as: anesthesia induction and monitoring; surgical assistance; dentistry including prophy, radiographs, and extractions; venipuncture; gentle patient restraint; sample collection; lab procedures such as reading cytology; and more – your RVT skills will be fully utilized!
• Compassionate client communication and education
• Training and mentoring vet assistants and future additions to the team
• Managing workflow between procedures and appointments
• Assigning and overseeing daily tasks of technical team

Compensation: $25-$30 BOE
Sign-on bonus: $2,000
CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter
PTO: increasing accrual up to 120 hours (based on tenure), CA sick accrual, and paid holidays

Doctors Office for Pets, located in Truckee, CA is currently looking for a full time or part-time Registered Veterinary Technician. Experienced Veterinary Assistants will also be considered. We provide compassionate care to both locals and visitors to the Tahoe area, and we are looking for an individual who cares deeply for animals and their owners. We strive to have a fun and team-oriented work environment.

Our ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills. Other required skills include proper animal handling, client education, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation/recovery, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry (radiographs and prophylaxis), proper radiographic technique, in-house laboratory use, hospital maintenance and customer service.
