Jumping into a pile of leaves is full of fall fun! 🍁🍂🍁🍂 However, this environment can also be a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. Here are a few outdoor hazards to watch out for and tips to help keep your pets safe this season:

🍁 Monitor your pets when they are outside exploring new fall foliage that may be toxic.
🍁 Clear out any small sticks or items that may damage their gastrointestinal tract if ingested.
🍁 Inspect their fur regularly for ticks, fleas, or small wounds.
🍁 Check paw pads to ensure they don’t have any foxtails, thorns, or other materials stuck between their fur.

Our large dog side of Cahaba Dog Park will be reopened tomorrow Monday, September 23rd!!

Much thanks again to the City of Trussville, and all involved with the decision for the renovation of the large dog side our community dog park.

We also want to thank all that were involved in the hard work on this project. This includes our Parks and Recreation workers, and well as our Public Works workers.

We truly look forward to seeing you and your pups enjoying the large dog side again soon. 🐕🐕‍🦺

The large dog side of Cahaba Dog Park is closed until further notice while the work to improve our community dog park continues. More work will start this coming week. We will do our best to update as we know more in the days ahead . Thanks to you and your pups for your patience. ❤️🐶❤️🐶
