Yesterday we had to say goodbye to CHEX, it was a very sad day for all at CHF .
Chex lived a wonderful and happy 29 years.

He was the ultimate pasture buddy to all ..

Chex lived his beautiful, happy, carefree life at Cherokee Hill Farm for 17 years. He was the senior member of our herd being here the longest to date.

Through the years Ellen and Chex have enjoyed the many new horses and new friends they made at the barn.
Barn parties and celebration for many a horse and owner !

Today we say how blessed we were to have Chex as the senior family member of CHF.

He will be missed by his pasture mates, his caregivers and most of all his devoted human Ellen who loved him with her whole heart.

Happy trails to Chex! Thanks for the 17 years of memories !

Back to riding on Seabrook Island after the last hurricane went thru. Zeke is a 20 year old mustang who is part of the Equestrian Center here on Seabrook. We ran into one gator swimming in the marsh who ignored us. Good thing.

With the summer season completing in a week, AD will be off to college. Luckily she will be nearby at Warren Wilson College and we may see her on weekends. AD and Holly work the bareback canter during her last week of internship 2022. What a fantastic summer with hours and hours of saddle time on so many horses. The best ever!

AD and Hank, our Belgian school horse, work together over fences for the first time.

Blossom’s first video with her dam Magnolia, a Percheron Friesian Crossbred. Her sire is a Holsteiner. Taken minutes after her birth, Blossom has not stood up as yet.

Anna Dunn and Bugsy during their work session, are shown here enjoying the warm weather and today’s lessons. Bugsy is a talented QH gelding transitioning from rodeo competition to English Equitation. AD is showing very nice form here in slow motion. Enjoy!

Riding in the Negev Desert is pretty challenging, but the Arabian horses seem to know where every rock is located. It is amazing to say the least. Please enjoy this video.

Catherine and Roanie enjoy a morning’s workout in the arena. Catherine is a new student in the riding school program and Roanie is an Appendix Quarter Horse. This is their first video together! Nice going guys!
